Just finished Mission 15. After the credits, when the master caution goes off, there was just a long silence until the wingmen repositioned behind me and lead came up on strike for a rep. I assume there was a missed voiceover where Flip informs the flight that he has an issue, but I didn't hear it.

I was still on Button 3 (texaco) aux. There was no push that I can see (I went back through messages history) to put me back on Tac, so that's why I assume the voiceover was missed. Perhaps I missed it but there was nothing in messages history.

After completing the mission, I went back and commenced from RTB. The message told me to be on Button 2 Aux, which did give me the voiceover and everything worked as expected.

I'm not going to replay all the way from IP to see if I missed the push or if it wasn't there - perhaps you could do a quick check of the script and make sure it exists?

I just completed 15 (entire thing, from launch to recovery), and thought the same thing. I assumed it was due to me having to reprogram channels due to the COM2 issues, and getting them confused. I have to fly it again because I was only awarded one point, although I have no idea what I didn't do, perhaps there was another key communication that I missed?

This was with 2.8.3.38090 OB MT

Yeah I was wondering about Comm 2 as well. I tried switching tac to comm 1 but the static was on the frequency regardless of which radio I used (DCS limitation I imagine), so I decided not to mess with it unless prompted.
 

According to the scoring guide, you need to hit the AAA, your JDAM target and land for a score of 100. It’s possible there was a script glitch for you if you did all that, I had it not count my carrier landing on M14 even though I had landed.

shut off the right engine? It was still giving me thrust so I just kept on keeping on.

I got an extra couple thousand points back in mission 12 due to some error, so I can spare a few 😁

Flew the mission again, and can confirm that this communication did not occur:

Still didn't get any of the approach instructions (10 miles, dirty up, etc) until I was actually on the deck (and rolling toward the sea with no brakes!). Scoring seems to be inconsistent with the Guide (don't actually care...), but it showed success this time (woo!), so I'm moving onto the OG Raven One campaign.  Pretty impressive work here Baltic, sure glad I'm not in charge of making all of these details sync!

I think I'm also experiencing some comm/missed comm issues on M15 or maybe something else...been drilling holes in the sky at the IP for nearly 30minutes with my flight+QUID5+the moonshadows and I've already burned through about down to joker...

Did it miss a trigger or do I need to be more patient before getting the ingress call?

@Sandman1330 @PyrocumulousI just flew the short version of the mission and checked the longer ones. All works fine for me and is set up as it should. Indeed, the whole missing convo is on TAC, which you normally should not switch to anything else during the mission. Yes, there is some white noise (hence the note in the kneeboard) but you should just be using it. I can't find anything wrong..

@eLgargantuan - people are reporting issues with AI refusing to push from WP and that full repair helps quite often. Also check if you have 3rd party unofficial mods installed, these can cause such problems too. Works OK on my end it seems...

Looking back at screenshots, it appears that I was on Strike and Texaco at the time, so that explains how I missed that conversation.DCS World_20230326_135904_L.png

It's too bad the player doesn't hear just their own transmission (that never gets heard outside of the cockpit) as a queue that they are on the wrong channel.

I could push player's messages as sound and messages but that would take away the ability to use them for something else, like giving important pointers (vide: switch your freq) 🙂 as a rule you should not leave Tac until you are explicitly told to do so (as would probably be the case in real life too), but the radio transmission system I use is both an advantage (because you can set your radios as you want) and a curse (because you may miss stuff)... Anyway, I am glad it isn't a bug!

I’m pretty sure in the long version, at some point before the second refuel, you must be pushed to Texaco on aux. Too many of us are reporting missing the conversation on tac because of being on Texaco on aux for the second fuel. In fact I do seem to recall having to communicate with the tanker on aux, not pri, for the second fuel!

It’s a minor thing but without flying the whole 2hr mission again I’m pretty sure there’s something here.

Haha I think I picked the wrong day to re-attempt this mission. 

This time I was able to get the push call after first AAR/IP, but my wingman Snake31 (or was it 21?) continued to follow the tanker and then orbit around the IP for the remainder of the mission. I opted to continue in with Sledge 21 and 22. I ate a missile over the target but my jet was still working. On the egress I think something else went wrong, I heard a "Brooms Commit" comms over the radio, but then noticed Sledge 21 and 22 orbiting about midway back to WP6. Eventually I decided to RTB.

On the RTB, mother was not responding to my inbound call. When I got to about 12nm from mother, I heard the Broom comms continue as if Broom3 engaged and shot down a group. Still no response from mother. I recovered on mother, did not get any indication that the mission completed. When I exited the mission, DCS crashed (suspect possible server issue related to the new update/sinai release).

Awesome mission idea but dang lol... might come back to trying this again in a few months so I can see how it was meant to go.

You could simply revert back to a prior known working open beta version. From command prompt (in ..\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin), run:

DCS_updater.exe update 2.8.4.39731@openbeta

I just finied the campain and it was fun but also frustrating because severall mission seamed bugged and had to be skipped.

I played the last mission twice. Once in the long version, where i at least was able to finish by landing back on the boat but didn't hit my targets, and on the second try, the short version where i hit all my targets and killed a MIG but didnt get a complete message back on the boat. 

Both times triggers on the way home at or after tanking didnt fire or at least not on time. 

On the long version after the CAG tanked and left, the wingman just hung there. So i tanked and left as well. When i arrived at the boat i got the lines about securing your right engine, but i didnt know why, so i cut it and landed with only the left engine.

On the short version after beeing frustrated for not hitting a single target on the first try (.. thank you erased tgt coordinates after loading.. and screwing with my timeline) the CAG bird stuck with the tanker, but his wingman didnt, went awol and finaly rejoint somewhere over the carrier. in between that i was tacking gas, stuck with sluggo untill about 30nm after we crossed the boat and then decided to return to the boat on my own. This time i landed and after that, i got the radio messages about the engine failure, securing the right one and goint to a point 10nm behind the boat ect.. when i was allready safe on deck. On the Tackview file you can see that slugo and his wingman circle with the tanker about 65mn to the south west for some time and then return to the boat, while i was landing.

needless to say the short mission wasnt completet because the triggers fired way to late..and because i allready did land.

I included both Tacview files, if that helps. 

Please consider telling the player after the first tanking to also setup the GBU'S again. maybe even with a pause. Not doing so completly fu**** my timeline. In trying to set up the bombs in a hurry after realising the coords where gone. By doing so i also lost sight of my flightlead, overflew the target, returned, released but never saw a mig. I just heared what was supposed to happend and returned to my flightlead.  

Also, after every time a mission is devided into stages and dcs needs to load the next one, there are no labels visible after loading which makes spotting anything a nightmare. Thats why i lost my flight in the first try but it especialy hurts the mission with olive (M13 or M12) where you have to kill some infantry and vehicles. You just can not spot the infantry without it. But Im not shure if that is my install.

Hey, thanks a lot. 

The AI AAR is wonky and every few updates some bugs with it return that are later repaired.. unfortunately I have no control over the AI and how it behaves. I will have a look at the tanker part on RTB and see if I can do something about it. Funny thing is I just read two or three reviews of this mission (quite recent) where everything work as intended - tanking and "incident" when returning to mother - but I learned long time ago there are bugs that appear for some people and will not for others (I know 3rd party mods do have impact on campaigns as others programs like Voice Attack etc.) In any case - I will be going through the whole campaign and updating it for taxi directors (and adding some other goodies, check the video below for the details) so I'll make sure to make things as playable as possible.

Just finished this as well. I fell behind after the Mig encounter- I shot both of them down. When I got to the tanker and called to rejoin, I had no comms. The tanker would not respond-it appears as Shell1-1 instead of Arco in the radio menu. The incident triggered fine but i was already on the carrier when they talked me through the manual gear procedure. Even with all that I had a blast. This was a masterpiece! I didn't think Raven One can be bested but this did! These campaigns pushed my skill and knowledge farther than anything in DCS. Thanks for your work !! @baltic_dragon

Thanks! I'll get to M15 soon and update it, for the 20 Dec patch M14 got a massive overhaul. It takes time to fix everything that gets broken with almost every update 🙂

Hey just checking in if anything has been changed for M15? I don't recall seeing anything in the ChangeLog but could have missed it. I am hoping to get this one finished out finally 🙂

There is currently some issue with AAR for the AI in DCS, which we can't fix on our own and are waiting for ED to acknowledge and fix. Also, apologies for being less active here recently, I have some family issues I need to take care (dad in a hospital plus a big move across Europe with whole family) which makes things a bit tricky - I am away from my flying rig until second week of July, and troubleshooting is more difficult on a laptop. But I promise to get back to these issues over the summer and have things sorted out, I hate when parts of my campaign don't work, whatever the reason!

@eLgargantuan Sorry, I still wasn't able to update the whole mission, I've been swamped in hours of updates to make everything work with taxi directors (before that fusing, and in the meantime fixing bugs introduced during Syria map update). I'll try to focus on updating all outstanding Dominat Fury missions in the coming days, though I cannot promise it will be submitted for the closest patch (though that depends on when it is going to land).
