Don't you really mean, "How many times have you made system changes since buying LOMAC that would have triggered the stoopid StarForce protection coming on v1.1?"

 

In my case, at least 1/2 dozen times - processor (once), RAM (twice), HDDs (twice), vid card (once), CD/DVD drive (once), the kitchen sink...

 

Just say NO to StarForce! It only hurts paying customers. If ya don't believe, just slide on over to gamecopyworld.com (where a "cracked" v1.1 exe will probably show up within *hours* of the release).

Well...i guess i'm lucky, i installed Lo-mac at around november/december 2003, when it came out, and i've been lucky enough to keep the same installation intact, i'd be surprised if I can even remember my key bindings :D

 

I'm not going to kid myself and say that 1.1 won't destroy this, as far as I am aware, the devs said a clean re-install is needed...perhaps I am wrong though.

I test and have to repack many times add-ons that I upload at Lomacfiles - in the past month I had to reinstall some ten times ... no big deal, I have a clean install copy of 1.02 and just delete the previous one and paste it.

Love the game and respect ED but let's face it, Lomac is one of the buggiest piece of software around.

 

I want to own the CD or downloadable file so I can reinstall at my convenience even if it's a few years in the future and no internet connection is present.

 

I don't care about starforce crap or backdoors , I have backups and can reinstall in no time. But I will never pay to lease a game , I want to own it.

you hell right , the problem is that I want to be able to install when ever

where ever , as long as I respect the copy rights and do not have 2 copies

running.

I bought it and I own it , I dont want to make any registration whatever.

Contrary to the obvious intentions, I must say; Once.

 

LOMAC has been working like a dream for me, and I get even more satisfied every day i play it. Every major bug or problem I found that effected my gameplay and overall enjoyment has been easily fixed and rectified with a few posts and such.
