Breakaway Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Curious to know if DCS is planning on adding more variety to the post-war jet era. Since Britain also designed many succesful jets in that time frame, it would be amazing to see a de Havilland Vampire, Venom or Hawker Hunter etc...
Mr_sukebe Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Razbam have stated that they intend to develop a BAC Lightning, which for me will be a MUST buy. We know that there's a Tornado on the way from a new group and Heatblur have the Eurofighter inbound. I'm unaware of any others, though like yourself, would love to have a Hunter, along with a Buccaneer. 2 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
bfr Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Jaguar would be potentially good fun. I'd have to seriously improve my AAR skills if a Lightning ever came out as you'd presumably be spending an awful lot of time around tankers. Buccaneer would be great fun and hopefully would be another jet for carrier ops. 1

I'm really looking forward to the Eurofighter and especially the Tornado, but they are both German versions I believe. Same old story as the Harrier, we voted for Gr9 and got the AV-8B. I would love to see a Jag, as it's part French that may be possible, and the Hunter is an obvious choice for the game I think, as it served for so many decades worldwide. The info for both must be out there. 1 Planes: A-10C/II - FC3 - F/A-18C - F-16c - F-5 - F-15E - F-4E Helicopters: UH-1H Huey - KA-50 Black Shark - AH-64D Maps: Sinai - Normandy 2.0 - Channel - Syria - Persian Gulf - South Atlantic Extras: Supercarrier - WWII Asset Pack PC SPECS: CPU, Intel i5 12600k | MOBO, MSI, MAG 760 TOMAHAWK | MEMORY, Corsair 64GB DDR4 | GRAPHICS CARD, RTX 4070 SUPER | PSU, 850W | Flight Stick, Logitech X-56 | Rudder Pedals, Logitech G | O/S, Windows 10, 64bit | Storage Drives, 2GB M.2 | MONITOR, ASUS TUF Gaming 2560X1440 180Hz

Also about damn time we get a Hawker plane in DCS. 2 i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.

irisono Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 +1 Hawker Hunter It had a long successful career and was in action in major conflicts from 1956 to late 80ties. Many claim it is the most beautiful fighter plane ever built. Remembered by its pilots as a sheer delight to fly.
