jackd Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 (edited) Flight Control settings for a TF-p52. 1) Warthog system. I have a modded warthog throttle, wit a better X/Y axis button from Deltasim. It is properly seen in the warthog test screen. It works perfectly for rudder in IL2 Sturmovik. Now i am trying to set it up for a TF-P51 (default plane) in the options page. It is just not recognized there when trying to set it up there, is this a bug? Is there another page where you set these maybe generally? ======================================== 2) Trimming Elevator: it is supposed to work via R-Cntl and ; etc ... set up in the controls OK, but it does not seem to work and let itself install. Also a bug? Edited April 22, 2023 by jackd
Ala13_ManOWar Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 That's weird, as far as I remember never was a left rudder and right rudder binding as separated controls, it was rudder all the way only. Maybe you tried to gather old module bindings saved somewhere from old versions? Try checking what you have at saved games X:\Users\User\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\TF-51D\joystick folder. There might be something going on there. If you see nothing, you can try emptying that folder (save it somewhere else just in case) and check if controls table keeps showing that in game. Then you can reset controls one by one (they can be loaded manually from those folders you saved). "I went into the British Army believing that if you want peace you must prepare for war. Art-J Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 (edited) @Ala13_ManOWarMind you, I believe he's trying to assign two digital inputs, not an analog axis. All warbirds have separate "rudder left/right" commands available and some have even rudder "left/righ 1 notch" as well. I don't know why he can't assign these, however, but, owning ordinary Warthog throttle, I don't know what this Deltasim mod is and how it works. Solution jackd Posted April 22, 2023 Author Solution Posted April 22, 2023 I got it organized. set axis somewhere in general axis commands, and then it was accessible in Flight control . Complicated.

My bad XD. "I went into the British Army believing that if you want peace you must prepare for war. I believe now that if you prepare for war, you get war." -- Major-General Frederick B. Maurice
jackd Posted April 23, 2023 Author Posted April 23, 2023 PS just ran into the same with a Spitfire on trial ... basically the same. Once set in general axis (never realized it was 'analog') and then you can set them up in Flight Control. Deltasim mod, never regretted buying it, but it's not a really simple job to fit it in: https://deltasimelectronics.com/products/thumbstick-slew-sensor-adapter
Ala13_ManOWar Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 (edited) It is simple to install, very simple and instructions are quite clear. I also have that mod, and quite advisable since it's way better than the default control in the Warthog. But it's an axis and should be configured in axis controls' page.
