What's going on with the hinted Afghanistan map?

This was posted in late 2021, a year and a half almost passed without any more news. Cannot we get some more info?

First the WW2 Version of Marianas will come out. 
My guess is that the guys who come in at an early stage in map development already works on Afghanistan. But that's nothing official, just my 2 cents about it.

Of course, but we have some info about WW2 Marianas, as area covered and timeframe, yet we don't know anything about this map, no area covered, neither If is planned for the 80's or the 2000's...

Has only a matter of time with ED start to show news and some develop updates, surely after Marianas WW2 release.

Frankly, hoping ED quietly drops this one and puts its resources into the "Earth" map project. Let the third parties do Afghanistan and Indochina then after they release, implement Earth V1.0.

Building maps, has outside of build a "whole earth" map technology, on fact, ED working on pararel projects.

A:There was a time when there was ED wasn't going to have Helicopters, now we have 5-6. Couple of years back there was no way TAC Trans would be a part of DCS World, But now a 3rd party is bringing the C-130 to the Sim. and so on and so on... Ed has a habit of saying never ever until they don't

So Relax, I'm not trying to hype, just watching the direction...
