  1. 1. Do you think we should switch SD-10 to new scheme API used by AIM-120C now?

Sorry for the ping @uboats, but did you guys remove the PL-12 (DIS_PL-12) CLSID in 2.9? Could you please add it back in the next OB?

Much appreciated!

if you edited the files in the installation folder to enable PL-12s then, update to 2.9 did revert those changes.

You can reapply the change to files, but in this case you will also fail integrity check and will not be able to join many servers.

That's not the issue, the CLSID was removed from the DLL code, and now PL-12s are UNK and can't be fired

You are right I see the same.

@uboats I recently got the module and are still learning, so possibly I may have also made an error (I know how to load DTC). Can you please comment on PL-12s apparently not working anymore with JF-17 when they are part of payload preloaded into mission?

This can be observed on GS server. Note: flankers are still able to utilize PL-12 there.

Another question: we have seen improvement in AIM-120C resistance to ECM bug cheat. Were the same changes applied to PL-12 as well?

@uboats why PL-12 only appear as unkown on SMS. I though you guys would keep that :C

Thunder SMS database has no pl12, only sd10. All allowed weapon are hardcoded

It was for testing purposes between the current SD-10 scheme and the new seeker/scheme.

I'll let Uboats say any specifics, but it was only for testing purposes AFAIK.

I'm not Uboats, but yes, that was the point of it. I just looked at the files, and the PL-12 still is using the AIM-120 api.
So if anyone wants to test still, you will need to do so on the J-11A, by modifying the files yourself.

If anyone wants, I can upload a modded lua, so you wont have to make edits yourself.

I have 600GB in skins in my Saved Games. 200GB of that is probably made by myself.

definitely odd, maybe its intercept is at 90 degrees, so its like 'nope, notched'. I bet it's something in the notch calculations thats off.

Im having that issue right now with the sd10 it's definitely not behaving like before

Made one test to compare pl-12 and sd-10 missiles(using j-11a for launch). I turn off  radar after several seconds after missiles launch. PL-12 travel correctly and hits target. But SD-10 travel into sky and lost target. Is any issue with SD-10 or not?

I think there is an issue with all missiles on old API. The new API is not affected by this. PL-12 is a testbad in DCS for SD-10 that will likely transition in future to new API.

Here is the relevant comment. If you did not upgrade please upgrade, if it still does not work probably it did not yet make it to latest release.

@uboatsplease confirm.

@uboatsplease confirm.

Those missiles (R-77, AIM-54, AIM-9s, etc.) use an even older API compared to the SD-10's relatively new API.

After several patches, the SD-10 still has a issue. The missile does not memory path towards the target(If radar is off after launch or lost the target lock).
Any chance that this issue will be fixed? (in the test is non maneuvering target)

It's not really a bug, this is how old API model works. SD-10 has not switched to Pl-12. We have seen gradual improvements on PL-12, and e.g. it appears to fly toward calculated intercept point.

My personally observations:

- It is still not perfect, since happens that Mach 3 missile still hits target from behind and does not kill it to frequently

- notching seems to be too easy.

I agree that these are the features of the current API SD-10. But some temporary solution is needed until the moment when SD-10 will be switched to a more advanced API. (For better missile behavior) simple INS needed
