Rudel_chw Posted May 5, 2023 Posted May 5, 2023 Invisible is only for map purposes, it does not mean the unit wont be attacked. Either relocate it or add defensive support units. Either relocate it or add defensive support units. Thank you, but I am referring to the ME unit perform command "invisible". I apologise for not being clearer with my explanation. The DCS user guide states on p 274 Quote Invisible Set the group to be invisible to all enemy AI units. Enabled and disabled using the ENABLE checkbox. This command may be useful when creating ground-based FACs in close proximity to enemy positions as a means of simulated a well camouflaged position and preventing the FAC from being destroyed. 1 System spec: Intel i7 12700k @ stock, ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12GB GDDR6X, Gigabyte Z690 UD DDR4, Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3200MHz C16, Samsung 980 EVO 500 GB NVME M.2 SSD (system drive), WD Black SN 850X 2TB NVME M.2 SSD (games drive), Thermalright Assassin Spirit 120 Evo Cooler, Asus XG43UQ Monitor, Oculus Quest Pro, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS Prev System spec (leaving here because I often reference it in my posts): Intel i9 13900KF @ stock, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming OC 24GB GDDR6X, Gigabyte Z690 UD DDR4, Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO SL 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3600MHz C18, Samsung 980 EVO 500 GB NVME M.2 SSD (system drive), Samsung 970 EVO 1 TB NVME M.2 SSD (games drive), Cooler Master ML360 Illusion CPU Cooler, Asus XG43UQ Monitor, Oculus Quest Pro, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals
Solution Grimes Posted May 7, 2023 Solution Posted May 7, 2023 It is the task queue. The FAC task needs to be completed before the options are set. So move the options to the top. https://wiki.hoggitworld.com/view/DCS_editor_FAQ#Why_isn.27t_an_AI_task.2C_option.2C_or_command_working.3F 1 1 The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. It's odd though as this didn't happen the last time I flew this mission (I'm almost certain it was this year). I have a number of other missions with a JTAC set up the same way (although it and the enemies are in different positions) and it doesn't happen there. Still, very useful advice which I'll be sure to follow in future, so thanks again.
