Hello everybody

I’ve finally decided to come back flying dcs after 6 years of inactivity

I bought myself a new pc, a reverb 2 and unboxed the old warthog hotas just to find out that even if the graphic improved massively since 6 years ago, I still have to spend more time trying to make it work that actually playing

ill write the problem in bold so it will be faster to read for future reader with the same problem:

I tried first in VR:

OpenXR installed ecc

lowest setting = 10 fps no matter what I’m doing

highest setting = 10 fps no matter what I’m doing

2D

The counter actually shows 5fps but the game is just not moving at all….if I press ESC the window appears after 30 seconds……

I’ve noticed that even on the main menu the I have a low fps (I can notice it for the delay the titles take to highlight)

I tried to upgrade from windows 10 to 11 but nothing changed

same problem with beta and non beta

im running :

AMD Ryzen 5600 G+3070 ti

Motherboard b550 gaming plus

Arbeitsspeicher 16 DDR4 curcinal 3200 GHZ

NETZTEIL be quiet 750 Wat Selint

1TB NVMe SSD intero Premium

Any chance some of you have an idea what it could be?

thanks in advance to everyone willing to help

Using the Multi Thread exe?

What Graphics settings in game are you using?

Do you mean Open Beta and Stable as in 2 seperate versions of the game installed?

Try to give us all more info rather than just specs and a pic of 5 fps

ok,

In your Open Beta install location and folder, find the 'bin-mt' folder,

inside you will find the new DCS.exe for launching the game in multi thread version, try that first for FPS comparison.

This is the new way forward for the sim

MAXsenna will takeover, he's much more savvy than me

Not sure how the Reverb and SteamVR interact, but when I fitted my 4090 (running a Vive Pro 2) SteamVR defaulted my VR resolution up to some stupid amount like 6000x6000 pixels.

That's interesting... because in the log you had the card running DCS and we wouldn't catch it:

2023-05-14 12:00:50.106 INFO APP (Main): gDescription: "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti" gVendorId: 4318 gDeviceId: 9346 gMemory: 8042 MB

Maybe monitor connected to the mobo - thus additionally running the CPU integrated 3D GPU, even as a mirror for VR, is not a good idea 🙂
