Perseus Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 Hi, is there a limit as to the number of static objects that you can add on the carrier with the mission editor, the reason why I ask is because when I add a lot of carrier technicians and save the mission, it eventually crashes all the time with DCS no response, I go ahead and remove most of the carrier techs and I solve the problem. is there a limit ?

Perseus Posted May 26, 2023 Author Posted May 26, 2023 Yes, It's getting stuck at loading Sim PostStart and I ctrl_alt_del to task manager with a DCS no response and I have to quit DCS to desktop.

Perseus Posted May 27, 2023 Author Posted May 27, 2023 (edited) Yes, that post you sent is exactly the problem that I was having, I never checked my log, it seems I resolved the problem by removing most of the carrier technicians that I originally added in the mission editor, once I did that, I haven't had any more crashes at the Sim PostStart loading point....................so far. I have loaded the mission on different days without any problems, this looks like a Supercarrier module bug, am I right in saying that ? It seems that the DCS Super carrier module does not like having extra carrier technicians added by the users other than the ones that came with the module, just guessing ? draconus Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 If you have a sample of such problematic mission I'd like to try it. Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
Nealius Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 It only seems to be affecting a handful of people, with others being unable to reproduce it. Try renaming your Saved Games/DCS.openbeta folder, then add your Config, Liveries, Missions, and other necessary folders back to it and see what happens. That has so far resolved the issue for me, but it may come back.
