pierscockey Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 I’d love to see an engineer’s report on state of jet once landed, with perhaps a time frame of how long it will be out of service until its next sortie. Undercarriage damaged from landing too hard. Over stressed airframe from using paddle switch (F/A 18 etc). Battle damage assessment. Things like that. It would add a bit more realism and give some satisfaction when handing a jet over unscathed. It might also incentivise people to improve some of the basics like landing properly. 4 i9 12900KS | 3090ti 24GB | 64GB 5200Mhz DDR5 Corsair Dominator Platinum GS-4 Seat | NLM V3 | Moza AB9 | Warthog Throttle + stick | MFG Crosswind | Reverb G1
draconus Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 You'd need to wait a few hours for the report itself if you want it realistic. Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
pierscockey Posted June 2, 2023 Author Posted June 2, 2023 True However, I only want realism when it suits me! 1 i9 12900KS | 3090ti 24GB | 64GB 5200Mhz DDR5 Corsair Dominator Platinum GS-4 Seat | NLM V3 | Moza AB9 | Warthog Throttle + stick | MFG Crosswind | Reverb G1
twistking Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 this would be a neat feature for the upcoming dynamic campaign. for single sortie missions it seems unnecessary. My improved* wishlist after a decade with DCS *now with 17% more wishes compared to the original
SharpeXB Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 Yes in the context of a dynamic campaign, this would be great. DCS already tracks damage in the debrief screen so the info is there already. i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
