Textures with different level of details in Huey cockpit?

I going through the startup procedure of the Huey and I noticed some of the buttons in the cockpit had very blurry text, even when zooming in.

Note that I'm in VR but I would say about 80% of the texts were readable and even more so when getting my head close to them. Here are a few examples of blurry button texts: radios power button of the IFF master switch.

Moreover, seems like the first time I notice that.

Maybe you have selected medium Graphics at options DCS Main menu.

If  you changed settings to achieve more performance, medium graphics do this to all the cockpit instruments, something related to mipmaps think....

Intel i9 10850k - MSI Tomahawk 490z - 64 GB DDR4 3000 - HP Reverb G2 - MSI optix Mag321curv 4k monitor - MSI RTX 3080ti - Winwing Orion Throttle base plus F18 stick

Playing DCS with a RX 570 4GB I set most graphics options to medium or low – textures as well. Without anti aliasing and on 2560x1440 the Huey cockpit was always blurry and mostly unreadable. A solution is to use a custom cockpit without mipmaps and with all textures only on full resolution like this one. I created a no-mipmap-version for the Gazelle myself based on the English gray dash with the help of Gimp. Of course without AA I get some artefacts but I don't mind some highlighted lines and most important the pit is readable regardless of zoom. Beside that I got a gain of up to 10fps with the use of the multithreading version of DCS on Georgia map.

Would you share your no mipmaps gazelle cockpit?, can´t find it on dcs user files....Thanks

So, today I checked my settings and indeed texture setting was Medium, but:

- changing textures to High only marginally improved the cockpit labels, mostly the ones that were already sharp enough

- why is it that regardless of Medium or High textures, a few cockpit switch labels are blurry and all the other ones are sharp?

Have you tried to increase the cockpit resolution to 1024? Set the pixel density to 1.2 at least.

yes, already had both set. didn't help

The Huey was released in 2013, apparently. Just over ten years ago. Compared to third party offerings, the texturing detail just isn't what we're accustomed to now. Even the F-16 is a bit long-in-the-tooth in the cockpit and could be sharper.

They basically need to scale up the textures by a factor of two and double the sharpness - or redo them altogether, which is quite an undertaking for anyone.
