Hi,

I wonder if anyone might be able to help me. DCS has suddenly started crashing on me for no apparent reason, I haven't changed anything recently that I'm aware of. I've attached the log file below, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I'm not sure what is it, but definitely start to disable the following scripts since it's causing lot of error

Oh, ok, I'll take a look at that, thanks.

The Way is a little program for inserting waypoints into various aircraft from the F10 map, perhaps something in one of the recent updates has caused it to not work properly.

That is the first time ever I see this kind of crash:

You crash seems to be related to mission wheather and date/time.

Please try a DCS cleanup and a DCS repair in "slow" mode: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/709/#2463807

Thanks, I've run the clean up and the repair.

The only files it found were some cockpit mods and some missions, mainly the updated FC3 campaigns from the user files, which I've had for ages, before the crashing issue started. I backed those up, was that the correct thing to do?

I'm a bit short for time this morning, bit I'll try and get on later and see if the crashing issue is sorted.

Yes, I think so.

I tried again and no crashes in 45mins of gameplay. I'll update over the weekend once I've had more time to play.

looks like either the system RAM oder your harddrive/SSD is faulty - maybe let windows check those parts?

That would be a shame, both RAM and SSD are less than a year old.

I've been following this process

https://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-10/how-to-fix-a-faulty-hardware-corrupted-page-bsod/amp/

I didn't roll back any drivers, wasn't sure which ones I would need to go with. I got to step 6, but the check wouldn't run as the disk was in use, so I set it to run on restart. The pc then got stuck on a black screen and didn't seem to be making any progress. I had to go out, so I've powered it off, tuned the mains supply off and pressed the power button for 30 secs, guess I'll see what happens when I get back this afternoon.

Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks all for help and advice. I think I have solved the issue, some corrupted files on my SSD which required a dskchk to repair. Not sure how it happened, but all seems to be running fine now.

Apparently not fixed! DCS still crashing, also still getting BSOD.

I've uninstalled DCS and am re-installing from scratch. Any other ideas?

That sounds more like your Hardware and / or some drivers produce those issues rather than DCS itself. That's what I get when I google the stop code: https://www.partitionwizard.com/partitionmagic/dpc-watchdog-violation.html

Maybe first check if your system runs the latest chipset and peripheral drivers. Faulty or old drivers could even have caused the prior SSD isues.

Some more information on your hardware and the Windows version may be helpful, too...
