Most of the continuous cockpit sounds (ie engines) sound like they are on a five second loop. Once you hear it its hard to ignore and really breaks immersion.

This was pretty common on early sims but I have not heard it on any other DCS modules.

All I hear is the ICS. What audio settings do you guys have?

Check if that "bomp...bomp...bomp...." sound is matching the directory reversal of you radar dish (small indicators in the lower edge of the A/A radar. If yes you hear the radar dish.

It easy to check.

Start with JFS and keep it a bit longer rolling - there seems to be one odd background bump at the end of sample, but that might be normal/authentic.

Leave ECS to off. Spool up both engines to idle. All OK. Get ECS to MAN a you get your suspect - there's a additional noise print within the sample which repeat each 5-6 seconds.

I'm sure this and a some other (external) sounds will improve when critical bugs are resolved.

This noise has been bothering me since release and I thought I was crazy since I hadn't seen it mentioned yet. I know people are complaining about the realistically loud ECS noise which in my opinion isn't a big issue, but that ECS loop is for me since I do spend a lot of time listening to it. Most of the sounds are pretty good, but that ECS looping sound for me really gets me. It might just be my headset since I wear a good true headset when flying.

That being said the module has been great so far. I AM glad to see others noticing this sound now. It's like a tiny "engine start" sound every 5 seconds in the ECS white noise.

What @Njinsa said is the easiest way to notice it, particularly with headphones on. Without them, I actually can't hear the looping audio too well.

Definitely not radar bumping. What I'm hearing is the .WAV file for some of the effects looping round and round. Because they are slightly different at the end you can hear them start over every 10 seconds. I'm using the earphones on the HP reverb G2

The noise is ONLY present with ECS on. It's simply just a spooling type sound reminiscent of an engine start. Just hop into an F-15E that has been ramp started, turn the Radar OFF, and mess with the Bleed Air for ECS.

3-5 seconds, 16-18 sec, 26-29 sec, and as soon as I shut off the bleeds the noise is no longer present.

I turned the Radar OFF as well, but otherwise this is a normal ramp start F-15E. My hearing is good according to my yearly audiograms and I have some good headphones, but I can't be the only one hearing it. Maybe I'm just sensitive to the higher pitch in the noise. I just can't unhear it now. I always notice it and I've been flying it for a while.

I’ll admit I’m no spring chicken at 60+ so my hearing isn’t the greatest but I didn’t hear anything in your clip except a continuous ECS sound.  Sorry 😞

I can hear it very quietly in your video, but in game I didn't noticed it.
