Heliflyr Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 Hi all, I seem to remember that the F-14 nozzles use to go to 5 when in full AB. I notice a while back, that the nozzles now stop at 3.5 on the gauge. The only time the nozzle gauges read 5 is when the throttles are at idle or when the engine are off. I can also see in external view that the nozzles are not open fully with full throttle. Is this normal or is this a bug? 1
Q3ark Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 I’ve not noticed any issues, is it the A or the B model? also have you checked your throttle curves and hardware?
Heliflyr Posted July 7, 2023 Author Posted July 7, 2023 (edited) I just checked the A and the nozzles are hitting 5 on the gauge. So the problem is with the B model and this rules out hardware and the curves are at default. Also, I noticed the B's RPM is not going over 100% in AB unlike the A model. Heliflyr Posted July 8, 2023 Author Posted July 8, 2023 I just uninstalled and reinstalled the F-14 Module and that didn't work. I also renamed the DCS file under Saved Games and that didn't work. Finally, I ran the repair utility and that didn't work. If it is a corrupt file is there anything else that can fix this?
Despayre Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 I don't get the B past 3.5 either, down low, or up high. Doesn't seem like a corrupted file. I'm not updating this anymore. It's safe to assume I have all the stuff, and the stuff for the stuff too.
Elliot Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 the gauges for the B are incorrect, the devs plan to fix this but it's low priority on the list. iirc there's a mod for this tho

draconus Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 Yep, in the B the needle goes max to 4 o'clock position - it's the max and corresponds to the max position on the proper F110 nozzle indicators (it's number 10 then) whenever they'll be implemented as @Elliot said. Nealius Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 (edited) I could have sworn there was something in the NATOPS explaining the nozzle gauge needle position differences and what number corresponded to what nozzle position but I can't seem to find it. Was I imagining things? Edited July 20, 2023 by Nealius
