Hello, In Hover, I have spent several hours trying to fire an ATGM from the co-pilot seat. When I look and aim through the sight and engage "OBSERV," the reticle is no longer on the targets but instead remains horizontal. As soon as I move my reticle towards the targets, I lose the firing signal (sound). I can only fire horizontally and immediately take control of the missile to guide it towards the targets. To put it simply, in order to fire and get the beep, my sight must remain horizontal and not on the ground targets. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Thank you for your valuable assistance.

Hind hovers nose high. To be able to fire, nose has to be pointed at your target.

Human pilot can dip the nose for you, AI not so much

There is long up command to ask AI pilot to line up nose to target , however in hover mode it is hard to do for AI pilot. There is a problem AI pilot still try to hold selected altitude and speed, so he dont know what to do first. I thing it would help to improve AI pilot if he can ignore selected speed and altitude, after he get long up (ATGM Attack run) command, and he can  focus just to bring crosshair to selected target as soon as possible.

There is a key bind just for having Petro line up nose for ATGM launch authority, I have it bound for easy use. I’m pretty sure there is a way to do it with AI menu.

It won’t work above 300 kmh, but works pretty well below that

Which bind is that?

I made a mission, and a track for this.

Enjoy.

Mi24P ATGM Hover Demo.trk

The command is, "(Mi-24P Petrovich AI Helper) Petrovich Helper Interface - move UP" (Keyboard default "W"). Long press...

it works just beautifully in a hover. In fact, I made the entire flight from the front seat using Petrovich as Pilot. It worked incredibly well. He even retracts and extends the landing gear!

I know that one, but Aeria refers to some bind other than AI Petro menu

In “Petrovich Ai Helper” section of CPG controls, there is a bind called “Turn to Sight Direction,” and a “ATGM launch align maneuver,”

binding these my main joystick for firing the ATGMs has made being a CPG a lot easier with Petrovich, there is also a separate bind for the 180 evasive turn, so if you have an extra hat it’s nifty
