I can manually COLD or autostart the Huey no prolem However, but if I then shut all down (manual or auto) and then try start again it doesnt work. Manual or Auto HOT start.

Gas compression does not go above 10, and as a result just fails.

The Auto sequence does not recognise this and goes on enabling radio/comms/trims, yet the engines did not start up.

This is a problem for mid-mission stalls, for whatever reasons.

Ive had limited success with restarting mid-air via autorotation, but zero success while on ground, like the high altitude stalls on Mount Elbrus.

Surely this must be a bug. On manual I follow all procedures, and Auto-start definitely does, but doesnt work

Please help

It could just be you've drained your battery. If you're at an airfield try asking ground crew for power. Otherwise, minimize power consumers that you turn on before getting your engine and inverter running. Save any lights, radios, countermeasures, weapons activation for after you're running.

I played about with this today as I have had this issue before. Next time, try the below and see if it helps.

Before you shut down,

Turn off the inverter on the top panel and the exterior lights. Leave the anit-collision on if you want the realism.

Turn off all of your radios, IFF, flare/chaff dispenser, armaments etc on the center panel.

Shut down the engine and turn off the battery master. Your battery will now be isolated.

Wait a few minutes until you are ready to start up again. You can set the overhead panel dian VM to Batt if you want. Ess buss will also give you the Battery voltage. You should have at least  26 volts to start. I've seen real Huey starts where they say 25/26 volts is just enough. This should drop down to about 15V when you hit the starter. Once you get past 10% RPM on the gas generator you should get light off and the voltage should start to increase not long after.

See if you have any luck.
