86-0186

Took these pics a few years back at a bro’s retirement ceremony.  86-0186 E004.  The fourth Strike built and the first delivered to Luke back in 1988.  I crewed her for about 4 years.  I believe she’s a 336th jet now.

I've been having massive Lakenheath flashbacks lately due to this module.

Sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes not.  But when it involves this jet (and not other things), it's good.  😉

Someplace I have a pic of her on the boom I took during OIF or OEF...Tail numbers like that stood out over time.

Would love to see it, but I believe it was still assigned to a FTU during those ops.

Agree.  IIRC.  6186 wasn't in the active units.  Might be now with the great number of tail swaps done to balance hours.  Back then, the FTU birds had no EW gear on them, so they wouldn't have gone to the AOR.  7186 was also an FTU bird, but was the one that went down while we were deployed for OIF.  6189 was a replacement for 1701, and that one was a green tail.  188 was a yellow.
