wywsy22 Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Hello, Asking question again, why sometime my plane after takeoff the elevator still no able in default position, it go up making my plane keep nose up. How to make it to default position while in the air (with no landing request)
razo+r Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 If the aircraft wants to pitch up, use trim nose down.
wywsy22 Posted September 5, 2023 Author Posted September 5, 2023 hi, elevator angle so big and trim it down need to press and hold for so long, any other way to make it return default position by setting anything?
Cab Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 More so than how to correct it, I'd say the question is why is it happening in the first place. I fly the Hornet frequently and never have that happen.
wywsy22 Posted September 5, 2023 Author Posted September 5, 2023 i don't know why, it no always happen just for sometime
Phantom711 Posted September 5, 2023 Posted September 5, 2023 Does it only happen when you do a cold start? Then recheck the startup procedure, especially the part about FCS reset and the take-off trim button. 3 vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord.
Solution rob10 Posted September 5, 2023 Solution Posted September 5, 2023 Make sure you are in 1/2 or FULL flaps when you take off. If you take off in AUTO flaps you can have this issue. 1

Auto flaps is only used in cruise or when you are flying an aerobatic display (and are very light because of it). Otherwise, always use half for takeoff and full for landing.
