PD Search & P Search selections in the Jester wheel radar section

Hi,

I am wondering that this is the old topic in forum.

Just wondering that are these two options in the jester wheel rather than jumping back the RIO seat to push the buttons?

These two modes need a competent RIO, and offer no visibility to the pilot, so I don't think they're in scope for Jester.

Jester can't use Pulse Search, that's why it's not included on the wheel. Even if you jump back and push the button yourself, Jester would then deselect it and go back to TWS.

TWS is really the only search mode Jester can use as it is.

@Naquaii, thanks and it explained why it has not implemented.

And, I found the old thread the explanation about P search at:

I guess that P search does not provide kind of the meaningful information.

Not to Jester as he can't read the DDD image.

He can flip the switch to show it yes as it generates track indications on the TID. But he really needs to switch back to TWS for any meaningful targeting.
