FZG_Immel Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 I own a few Orion1 and Orion2 throttle bases. I like alternating them in my cockpit depending on the plane I fly. that being said, using the screw isnt the fastest way to do it. has somebody though of a method or system for quick attachement already ? Since you usually don‘t put much lateral force on a throttle (compared to a stick), verlcro is absolutely sufficient. I can also recommend 3M Dual lock…it‘s similar to velcro but connects and releases with more of a „click“ rather than ripping it apart. That‘s what I use and I also swap between the F/A-18 and F-16 throttle. EDIT: A word of warning!: Don‘t use too much of it! A thumbnail sized piece at each corner is enough!!! Otherwise you won‘t get it off again. Edited September 23, 2023 by Phantom711 1 vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord.

I can highly recommend it! Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk
Phantom711 Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 @MAXsenna I would call it like little mushrooms on both sides. vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord.

Dentedend10 Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 (edited) And if you are looking for something more sturdy then QR4rigs is a great solution. I use their mount for pedals and sticks but I’m sure you can use it for throttle too Edited September 23, 2023 by Dentedend10 1 Alienware Aurora R10, Ryzen 5800X3D, RTX4080, 32GB RAM, Pimax Crystal, Winwing F18 throttle, VKB Gunfighter F14 Stick, VKB Modern Combat Grip, Logitech Rudder pedals, DOF Reality H3

I work in the town in which velcro was invented, but this is definately a step forward. there is NO play like in velcro. its rock solid! its soooo good i would considering it for swapping my center stick as well. So basically I screwed an aluminum/polymer sheet to my wooden cockpit (aker barnes) side console, and than taped bands of dual lock transversally to it. then I put a square inch on each corner of each of my throttle bases, and it worked like a charm ! totally awesome ! thanks for the tip ! 1 [sIGPIC]https://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic70550_3.gif[/sIGPIC] Asus Z390-H - SSD M.2 EVO 970 - Intel I9 @5.0ghz - 32gb DDR4 4000 - EVGA 3090 - Cougar FSSB + Virpil WRBRD + Hornet Stick - Thrustmaster TPR Pedal + WinWing MIP + Orion + TO and CO pannels - Track IR5
Mr_sukebe Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 Monstertech have introduced a sliding rail solution that looks interesting. I’m guessing that there is a cheaper way to achieve that DIY 1 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
Phantom711 Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 (edited) @FZG_Immel Nice... It`s only fair to mention though, that this was not my idea initially... someone else somewhere here on that forum mentioned it once and I also just followed that path.
