FalcoGer Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 There is a grammar error in the tooltip for Full Screen in the options menu. It reads Quote May produce or not some performance gain/hit. But it should probably be Quote May or may not produce some performance gain/hit. Also the tooltip for sharpening is Quote $Sharpening_tooltip it probably isn't supposed to do that.
Flappie Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 The Sharpening tooltip has been reported earlier. About the phrasing, wouldn't "May produce some performance gain/hit" be even better? ---
FalcoGer Posted October 22, 2023 Author Posted October 22, 2023 I guess that's true. I'm not a native english speaker.
Johnny Dioxin Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 (edited) If I had a pound for every grammatical error I came across in this sim I could buy a new VR headset! Flappie Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Then, let's make a list! I'll ask for a fix. ---
DAZnBLAST Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 There are more important fixes in 2.9. Confident that one can be put in the "does not affect my enjoyment / immersion of the sim" bin. But if I needed to wait for important bugs to be fixed in order to report small bugs, my todo-list size would skyrocket. ---

Something like this is a 5 second fix, including finding and opening the correct text file where the tooltip is stored whereas an autopilot behaving erratically might be more impactful, but might also take many hours to fix and test.
Johnny Dioxin Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 (edited) Yeah, I never bothered reporting such errors because, well, why? If a dev asked for them to be reported that's one thing - but if not I don't see them getting any kind of priority and they don't really affect anything except perhaps one's perception of quality control etc, but again with non-native English speaking devs it's understandable that mistakes will be made. Although I'm always available to help with any such things if required - and I don't even charge a fee!
