Very tempted by this campaign - one of my favourite aircraft, IRL and in DCS

BUT, given the Mossie’s low altitude strike role, how have Reflected managed the aimbot gunners which tend to mar the WW2 sim?

Thanks @Reflected - will give it a try

(might need to get a few refresher flights on the Mossie first 😕 it’s been a while and there have been a few updates since my last use)

The aimbot AI is still ruining ground attack based missions and campaigns.  The acuracy of the WW2 AAA is just rediculous and spoils missions.  Eagle Dynamics need to sort this out asap. totally not the mission campaign designers fault, appreciate what you have to work with.

I beg to differ, AAA is not OP at all. It was hell in real life too based on all the memoirs I’ve read. You’ve got to fly smart.

plus, as I stated before, in the campaign the AAA AI is set up in a way that they’ll notice you much later or not at all if you fly low enough.

I’ve seen people fly straight and level at 1-2k feet amd expect not to get hit, but you will, for sure.

Im sure it was hell in real life, but in DCS, no matter how i fly there is always a high probability im going to get hit.

take mission 7 for example, attacking the no ball site. i've tried every conceivable method - jinking, high speed low approaches etc. everytime the AAA hit me, sometimes with thier first salvo. I was only able to make it back after a high speed treetop pass, even then i still got hit!

in my experience, if you fly low, the AAA will still see and hit you.  im getting to the point where i wont fly ww2 ground attack missions, i have the Epsom and Charnwood campaigns but never go back to them for this reason.

There are some missions ahead in V for victory that are not to risky with regards AAA, but i will not be flying the likes of mission 7 again.

They are aimbots. I fly the 3(?) mission following the rail low holding the hanging clothes in my hand and making S as an snake.. fast as hell and only one pass and they hit me everytime the three times I tried.. Always hit the engines. Both of them sometimes. Railgun of Quake3

Get down lower and don't fly straight and level in a predictable way. I added some extra triggers to AI gunners to only notice you if you're not low enough, so if anything, 'aimbots' or AAA in this campaign is more realistic than in a generic DCS mission.
