I just wrapped up about 4 hours of flying. Went to my log book and it doesn't seem that a single hour made it there. Am I missing something or did those hours just not count for some reason?

Was it on multiplayer?    yes then no tracking hours.

F-18. No mods. I launch the mission from the "Missions" tab. Didn't do anything funky to launch the mission. I just find it strange that the hours weren't logged.

F-18.

Can't help with that one. Last time I trialed Hornet (some years ago) it logged my hours.

Let's see what dcs.log says. Maybe corrupted logbook.lua file or file access problem.

I found the LUA for the logbook...What measurement are the numbers in? Is that seconds, minutes....111738.532...That is definitely not hours. This game logs hours very weridly compared to how hours are actually logged in Army helicopters...

It logs time in seconds.. so if you know how many minutes you been up there multiply X 60 and add to totalflighthours and dayflighthours or night acordingly.. also same in the jet used.

basically if you loged 2 hours in daytime in a F-16 you would need to open the logbook and sum 7200 to : ["daytime"] , ["flightHours"] and in the F-16 section to ["flightHours"] and ["daytime"] too..

same with landings, refuelings and stuff..

be carefull backing up the logbook and making sure its fully closed by whatever editor you use before starting DCS or you might find everything reseted to 0 ... ask me how i know 😄
