Edit: My backlighting is set to an encoder on the Combat panel, not the V2 Takeoff panel. Also the screen ID's in Simappro are for the screens only, not the surrounding buttons.

So I followed all of those steps, I cant get the bottom (or #2) MIP to display at all or correctly. Need help trying to troubleshoot, and I cant find much of the issue Im facing in order to fix this. If the monitor isnt working at all, then the right and bottom MFD are incorrectly displayed as the screens look like they're moved too far to the left.

If you have a laptop, load the displaylink drivers and plug the problem screen in. If it works, you have an issue with your system

the monitor works. its the alignment of the picture when in DCS; it either shows up misaligned or not at all. Check this out, this is with VR running in background.

I dont intend using the monitors in VR either, but thats part of the problem I assume. Only aircraft I fly in VR for the most part are helicopters, but would everything change if I were to use VR in between sessions?

This is not true any more. Screens can work in VR with the addition of a line to the monitor lua and making a sure a setting is changed in game.

This won’t effect your flatscreen setup either so can be left in without causing any issues.

I was being sarcastic, my apologies. You dont normally see anything outside of your vr headset because of the obvious.

Ha, no worries. Yeah, just not true these days with mixed reality headsets and many people purposely removing facial interfaces to see their cockpits - thus, the option exists now when it didn’t before

Id like to know if theres a way to overlay the outside world over the vr cockpit to get a 1:1 adjustment, but dont think it has anything to do with this thread. Ill have to research it for a while and see if its possible...

does that allow me to overlay my mips over DCS and I can align the two at the same time? also I guess this means I need to run steamvr in order to use it as well...

Found out that this uses OpenVR. DCS uses OpenXR, so the runtime would be different. Not really sure how to resolve that.

Thanks for the posting. My display panels are inbound.....I originally set up just using Thrustmaster MFD panels and they work very well and are only $80, then added the ICP from winwing and the obsession started, so I really wanted the mini displays.  LOL. I bought the F18 but have not flown it yet, as I am concentrating on the F16.

Wow, easy to set up.  I just have to deal with some gremlins.  Track IR keeps cutting out.  

 

 

While configuring controls DCS crashed a few times.

But it works. I got the buttons set up.

One question: the brightness of the mini display does not match the display in the plane. With the Weapon Pod the image is very dim.  I have to figure that out.  But the setup is very nice.

Thanks, I had already found that thread. Seems like a pain.   I can live with the dimmer displays until the fix comes out.....

I did get things working better after changing around a few USB ports.  I was having issues with Track IR and my mouse. I moved the Mouse plug in Dongle to the back of my keyboard and the Track IR plug to the back of the main motherboard USB instead of my powered strip.  So far works properly.

DCS crashed a few times while I was saving control settings and today the Right and LEFT MFD's were swapped. I figured out how to export JUST the MFD profiles and named them accordingly so if DCS does this again I can at least just restore them in my main config file.  I wish the MFD's were named differently than the long serial number thing LOL.

I don't have enough knowledge of USB's to know when I am 'maxing them out' with all the devices plugged in from a communication standpoint, not the power supply standpoint.  Clearly there is a 'best sequence' to plug things in giving priority to more important input devices.

LMAO.    we can hope at least.  LOL.

Don't sweat the small things....the software is pretty much free compared to other 'games.

I'm not sweating anything. Reshade works a treat and fixes all the ext monitor issues

I'm currently trying to set up the Legend MIP. When I start SIMPRO I get 3 "MFD Display Warning" messages "Click to MFD Display to View More."

Where your WW Program tab says MFD DISPLAY mine says Game Peripheral Display. When I go into the DCS game Option/Controls there are no MFD's listed to bind buttons. I went through the 8 steps under the Game Peripheral Display/MFD DISPLAY TAB and all are green including Check monitor status with DCS running.

I show no MFD's under the Device TAB.

Not sure what I did not do/do wrong. Any ideas?

I did the tutorial on an earlier version of SImappro

 

Can you see the external monitors in Windows and can you provide a screen shot of Simappro's Device Tab please?

 

I'm currently at and wont get to my simrig for another day or so
