BrzI Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 I have updated to 2.9 MT and indeed - performance is much better. I have a minor question : When flying the SU-33/27 the HUD lines are more jagged than they were before. I pushed all AA settings all the way up but no joy. It almost feels like AA settings do not apply to the HUD and the situational display... What do you folks think ? Is this a bug ? Thanks

BrzI Posted December 13, 2023 Author Posted December 13, 2023 Did some experimenting: Running native monitor resolution 3440x1440. Turned upscaling off. Guess that makes the sharpening slider redundant ? MSAA x 4. Looks good. I am seeing what I was expecting to see. TAA.. Jaggies DLAA.. Jaggies Looks like all these new features give me no visual benefit at all. Curious to hear what Flappie and co. have to say. Thanks 1

Thanks can you post what your nvidia control panel settings are? for reference here are mine. i have a 3080. where i am going with this is you need to have AA settings in nvdia to application controlled. otherwise changes in DCS will or may not work. Flappie Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Apparently, it is known: From what I'm reading on Reddit, aircraft with vector HUDs (such as the M-2000) are not affected. I can't test this because my old 1080Ti does not even know what DLAA is. 1 ---
BrzI Posted December 13, 2023 Author Posted December 13, 2023 My NVIDIA control panel settings are ALL on default.

Open your NCP and make the AA settings like I have in the Program Settings to Application Controlled. It's important to allow DCS to handle AA. You can always Restore to Default in NCP. Solution BrzI Posted December 16, 2023 Author Solution Posted December 16, 2023 Tried it but no go... HUD lines on Su-33/27 J-11 are still jaggy. DLSS does nothing. Only option is good old-fashioned MSAA. Pity that DCS will never give us full-fidelity Soviet/Russian aircraft Thanks though...
