Cavemanhead Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 If so... Can you use Gsync with an HDMI Cable? And, how has the experience been with the image quality, etc...?
SharpeXB Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 (edited) I’m using an LG OLED and it’s fantastic. The image quality is quite literally the best that I think technology is capable of today, 4K, high refresh rate, HDR etc. Maybe ask LG suppport about Gsync with HDMI. I’m using DP https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-monitor-how-to-enable-g-sync-CT32003206-20153185261100#:~:text=G-Sync is supported for, monitor with a DP cable. Hiob Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 I have a 48“LG OLED C9. Using it with a HDMI cable running at 120Hz with g-sync. No complains. Best display I ever had. "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"
obious Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 I recently had a LG C2 42" which was quite possibly the best image I've ever seeen in real life. Was also great for running DCS in pancake mode but after about 6 months I had an issue with green strips becoming visible on the display/image which I hear is a common issue. I returned to Amazon with no problem and will most likely pick up the newer C3 soon Intel 12900k @ 5.2Ghz, RTX 4090, Samsung 1TB NVME, Thrustmaster Warthog & F-18 stick, Pendular Rudder Pedals - Quest Pro AV8B N/A UFC Build Log AV8B N/A PCBs for sale
Hiob Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 One thing, I want to add about OLED. I‘m running mine for over two years now (close to three iirc), and so far I have no signs of burn-in or any degradation whatsoever - which was a concern of mine. But I‘m running it in a rather dark environment and far from its peak brightness. And I had to find a way to get rid of the default auto-dimming, which I luckily did (otherwise it would darken itself after a couple of seconds of a large bright screen like a word document e.g.). Downsides of using a TV. "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"
JesterIsDead Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 I use a cheapo 4k QLED TCL Q570F when I play multiplayer and it works just fine. Good visuals and color. 60 Hz is fine I7-10700F | RTX4070 FE | 32G RAM | Quest 2/3 | TM T16000 HOTAS & Throttle | F/A-18C | F-14A/B | F-15C | A-10 II | F-4E
