SCAS on the YAW channel has a tendency to start oscillating while flying straight.

See attached track.

After I take off I fly straight for a while. At some point it starts oscillating. I push and hold the trim reset button and the oscillation stops.
When I relase it, it seems fine for a moment. Until I make tiny adjustment on the cyclic and it starts to pick up again. It starts small and escalates. In the end one can see the SCAS is oscillating left/right of the trim reset point in the YAW channel.
Only solution to make it stop for now, is either hold the trim reset til everything is stable and don't touch anything after it's released, or engage attitude HOLD mode.

Wind is set to 0 knots.

Hi TZeer,

I am no flight model expert so will not comment here, I will ask the team and real AH-64D pilots, but we will need to be patient as we have holidays in progress currently.

thank you

Am I imagining things.   the yaw oscillations seem to be gone or did my computer just go crazy and fix it for me.  Two different missions today and George as steady as a rock.

This is in a stable hover, no forward movement.

yes  on miz 2 knt wind, other mis 4 knt wind   Previously on these missions i had oscillations.   I had made changes to my game to try to correct a different problem.  I think what changed this was deleting all mods from 'save games - dcs - mods' folder and from steam 'dcs-mods-' folder.  I have no idea what all the mods do, so i removed them all and had to add back 'terrain".   then I did an 'integrity' check via steam.  Had 1384 files to replace.  After that oscillations were gone.  I do integrity checks every week and usually no problems.  I am not saying this is what cured it but I know it is better for me.  (Miz at 4 knts is the caucus quick start miz range practice, which i have flown many times and have had oscillations there for a few months.)
