DCoffey Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 I knew it, I knew it, So I copied the FS2020 DLSS dll (3.5.10) into DCS (bin-mt) and it crashes as soon as I get into VR cockpit (many tries), so thankfully I backed up the original dlss dll (version 3.5.0) and restored it and now my DCS crashes every time when I click "play" on the start screen. One file, I changed one file and put it back. what am I doing wrong?
razo+r Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 (edited) What are you even trying to achieve by merging MSFS files with DCS? Try running a repair. Edited January 14, 2024 by razo+r

I’d leave everything where it is once installed but that’s just my personal preference. Try the repair Razor advised and if it was me I might uninstall then reinstall MS too. That, and of course I’d whisper “I’m sorry” into any open USB ports. Best of luck. Edited January 14, 2024 by Slippa Silliness

Rename the original version or save it somewhere else and then place the new one in the bib-mt folder. I would suggest you remove and run a slow repair or verify if steam thank you Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Took out the new 64gb I had just put in and put the 32gb back in and problem solved. its weird the problem surfaced only when entering vr so I naturally thought it was because I monkeyed with the dlss file thanks to all that replied!
