Will the F-4E be fully mission capable in single player (human pilot + Jester RIO)?
How good will Jester be as pilot?

Yes fully playable kn singleplayer 

F4 will use Jester 2.0

Which will later come to the F14 too.

What Gunfreak said, with one caveat: Jester is NOT a pilot, just a WSO. At least if he's implemented like in the F-14.

EDIT: and, of course, assuming HB is not going to simulate the fact that initially USAF wanted pilots as WSOs.

Heatblur has said previously that the current Iceman pilot AI the Tomcat has is about all they can/will do in terms of AI piloting.  So don't expect anything more than a glorified autopilot, its not gonna do refueling for you or anything like that.  Fly this heading at this altitude will be basically it. 

Any 2-seat plane Heatblur makes using the Jester AI will be fully mission capable with a single player pilot just like the Tomcat.  The future naval Phantom and Intruder will be the same way.

Thanks guys for the replies. Yeah I guessed as much it would be like the Tomcat but improved. I think with the great work done on Jester 2, a more capable AI pilot, though not the focus now, is certainly within HB’s expertise to do if they want to in the foreseeable future. I am thinking of the Apache too how it’s quite satisfactory (ok subjective) to play as CPG with the AI pilot, granted that with helos things are different as they are not fast movers and can hover.
