Or you could get an Ultraleap Motion Controller.

This thing just glues on to the front of any VR headset and works in DCS? It's pretty cheap actually.

That’s right, or on top. You might find a CAD model to mount it to your headset. Before I had a 3D printer I used a modified go pro mount.

I’m happy to print mounts for the ultra leap if there’s a CAD model for the headset with any Slugmouse order at no extra cost.

Here is my design for HP Reverb G2 and Leap Motion:

Leap Motion holder for HP Reverb G2 and cable managment by rafgaj - Thingiverse

I am gonna make it also for Pimax Crystal Light as soon as I will get it🤗

OT: I wish it were. I am bringing out my old UL Motion from storage for my project -- due to the front curve of Meta Quest Pro, there is no way just to stick it in the front. I mount it on top of the headset but the result was not great.

I guess the second reason not getting Pimax Crystal Light would be the lack of hand tracking.

Not unless you either have a mount specifically for the pro or use a number of pads each end to pad out the curve.

OT: That is what I am thinking, not easy. Or I can use a piece of something hard, like a cardboard or plastic, to bridge the top of the headset with the head of UL Motion.

But from my struggle last night, UL Motion still cannot beat Meta hand tracking. I would try and see if I can click on a mouse button while using UL Motion. Fingers crossed.

Update: I find a toy part which can bridge nicely the headset on top with the UL Motion controller in the front. And yes, I can still use SlugMouseTM with it. Details will be in the upcoming video.

Hi , new here to this forum , anyway , do you really need two of your Slugmice , or can you just use one , and if so , what would be the price for one ? also can you just use them as mice without hand tracking, Because I use the headtracking in DCS to move the cursor, just need for clicks!

Welcome! For your use case you could use just one Slugmouse which would still be better than reaching out for a mouse. Cost for one would be £75 plus p+p.

I am selling my rings at material costs. I already have v2.

Care to share the STL's for V2?  I'm ordering more Seeed boards to do more tests on mine.  These are my versions:

Yeah. It took 24 months before I received my pointctrl "ready" notice. By that time, I had made the Slugmouse.

Is that you staring in the video? How do you strap your Tartarus or Nostromo and roller mouse to your legs? I have a Tartarus Pro and have not found an elegant way to secure it.

If you’re asking me I don’t use either of those devices. Just the finger mounted Slugmouse and hand tracking VR headset.

That’s all there is in the Slugmouse demonstration video other than what’s on the desk (keyboard, HOTAS, regular mouse).

Is the coolie hat on the slugmouse replaceable? Seems a bit big to me as I have very small hands and a thinner shorter one may work better.

You can remove it easily by just pulling the hat off. You’d be left with a short stub. Alternatively, I could should be able to make a shorter one. Best to try it out first though as you might find it suitable as it.

Waiting for a Pimax Crystal Super to use for it but I'll go ahead and get a finger ring gauge from Amazon and order a set a soon as a gauge comes in. You need the size in mm right not US ring sizes?

Hi Sorata. Please send me the US ring size and mm via private message. I'll double-check it for you.

Hello All,

Curious if the HTCC works with Virtual Desktop.  I noticed a note that the Oculus Developer mode is required.  Anybody have any experience with that?

Thanks

Yes, I’m pretty sure it does work with VD. I don’t usually use VD but when I did last week I’m pretty sure I had it working. I’ll double check tomorrow. For developer mode you just need to create a developer account. Nothing to it really, just an account like many others. Once you’ve created it you can forget about it.
