I just found this mod which allows you to use MG 151/20 instead of MK 108 and MG 17 instead of MK 131. Not historically accurate for a Kurfurst but allows the simulation of a Gustav loadout.

My only complaint with this Fighter... the 30 mm mortar.

Now F-4 or G-6/14 is the decision.

Win/Win.

EDIT: noticed that some of the values don't line up w/ the OEM MG 151/20, which is a concern.

This should be implemented in the core game if only for the AI.

In the ME there should be a an option to select that gives G model armerment and also throttle max speed and horse powers. Since it doesn't look like we'll get a G6 in our lifetime in dcs. This at least would improve the singleplayer experience when flying allied aircraft.

Nice mod, but it doesn't help much with the AI P-51 now flying even wilder stunts. I doubt that an AIM-9 could hit them as they fly now.

I've not tried against a p-51 yet. Very satisfying against a mosquito though.

The Mosquito in my experience does a lot of wiggling too, but is manageable. I find the Jug easiest to kill.

The Jug and Anton are easy prey.

The Mosquito catches fire very easily.

I'm not getting it. Sometimes the P-51D AI flies quite "normally" so it's relatively easy to hit, and sometimes flies wild stunts, with a flight path about as unpredictable as that of a bat.
I do not see any correlation between what I do and the flight behaviour of the AI bandits, especially the Mustang.

Are there other planes except you too?

Warbirds seem to have just 2 combat modes.

Attack or defend.

Paradoxically the AI is much harder to hit if they are in attack mode(chasing another aircraft) than when they are in defend mode(slow turn and nothing else)

I've also discovered another strange behaviour. The defending AI gets progressibly better at defending (avoiding getting shot) the more you damage it.

Some of the hardest fights I've had with AI is after its been damaged and is leaking oil, fuel or something. Suddenly you'll find the AI dive and jink and go into scissors to avoid getting shot.

Something I don't see in undamaged AI were they just fly lazy circles.

It's mostly in one-on-one situations. Yes, I also see the change in the bandit's behaviour after it has taken hits. But sometimes they show this "wild" flight pattern from the begining of the fight.

Agree.

Seems that an Armament option w/ the MG 151/20 "Motorkanone"/200 rounds, and either the OEM MG 131 or the older MG 17 with the appropriate ammo upgrade.

The MG 151/20 already exists in the program.

@NineLine

Please advise.

If anyone is interested, this is the Bf 109G-6 "Weapons.lua"

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\CoreMods\WWII Units\Weapons\Weapons.lua file.

Rename "Weapons.lua" to "Weapons - OEM.lua", or something else.

Import and rename attached file "Weapons.lua".

Notepad++ Administrator required.

MG 151/20 "Motorkanone"/200 rounds, and OEM MG 131 w/ 300 RPG
