MadKreator Posted March 24, 2024 Posted March 24, 2024 (edited) It would be great if we could save the kneeboard position and size, similar to using R-Alt+Numpad 0 for the default view. Yes it can be resized with the mouse, but for us multi-display users it be comes quite the chore mission after mission, flight after flight to move and resize the gigantic kneeboard that its 3/4 off of the mainscreen A Hotkey to save the coordinates and size in a lua file seems like it would be a fairly simple fix. ( I don’t code, just venturing a guess since the camera view uses a similar idea). rob10 Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 Won't pass IC check, but you can change it here: \DCS World OpenBeta\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit\ViewportHandling.lua dedicated_viewport = {3910,2437,600,700} -- << AT LINE 33 It is set as "default", you'll need to figure out what co-ordinates you need to use.
MadKreator Posted July 4, 2024 Author Posted July 4, 2024 Or even if there was a line for it in options.lua, like the chat window position has. Amarok_73 Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 I would expand this request by possiblity to save the kneepad bookmarks per module, as some of them can consist of dozens of pages. 2 Natural Born Kamikaze ------------------------- AMD Ryzen 5 3600, AMD Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4, AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, 32 GB RAM Corsair Vengeance LPX, PSU Modecom Volcano 750W, Virpil Constellation Alpha Prime on Moza AB9 base, Virpil MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle, Turtle Beach VelocityOne Rudder.
pixelpilot Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 +1 from me. I've been editing that viewport handling file after every update for what seems like the dawn of time. I had hoped that by recreating the Scripts folder in my savedgames/dcs folder that it would read from there much the way liveries and custom kneeboards do. I can go months with out using the kneeboard so I could cope with it. Now though I've found that the f4 bombing table and manual open over on the other screen too!
idenwen Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Would love to have a saved or settable kneeboard position because, yes with multiscreen its always on the wrong spot and size initially. 1

This would be awesome. Ever since getting the Winwing MIPs the kneeboard has been off the screen for me and on the little MIP but way larger than that screen. No one I ask, DCS or winwing, has been helpful in fixing it.

MAXsenna Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 For anyone using VoiceAttack, you can use it to drag and resize it anywhere without breaking IC. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
