VR upscaling

Now that we have upscaling will the ghosting effect be ironed out with updates or is this what we have with upscaling. DLSS , TAA , DLAA . 

I've never used upscaling until DCS.

Ghosting in a side effect of TAA, and DLSS is a form of TAA.  We will have to wait as the technology evolves.

The problem is, the second we get a new generation of CPU's and GPU's the programers add more graphics so we can never get ahead.  Just so they can say, our program looks the best.  Oh yea, and VR is still being worked out.  Im hoping they figure out how to optimize VR better.

I love VR but its definitely needs more work the ghosting in  DCS VR is pretty bad and cause sickness after too much time in the sim . Ive gone back to Single core exe . MASS x 2.

What does the use of scaling bring to DCS?

I have always liked MASS far better than the others.

I guess to help middle of the range PC gaming systems . As we know 2.9 has been very power hungry.

Some people , well most i guess cant afford RTX 4090s . Thats my thinking and to bring smooth frame rates to desktops and VR .

& what is the average setting to put? mine is 2.25 & smoothing 0%)

Those settings in the NVIDIA panel don't affect VR. For upscaling in VR use DLSS in DCS. You can adjust the scaling from quality (0.67) to ultra performance (0.33 I think).

I hear DLAA is good , I don't use the upscaling as I'm on a AMD  card.

But valkan is coming so I'll stay with AMD  , I can't afford a Nvidia. Lol.

Try CyberXeSS now called OptiScaler on github. You can "unlock" DLSS and use FSR2.1 , 2.1 or XeSS as scaler. 

 

Using this with XeSS looks alot better even than Native TAA let alone ingame FSR1

Oh ok so this works with AMD  cards , I'll have to give this ago , TAA looks good in cockpit, but outside view there is lots of ghosting .

Yes it should work on any GPU vendor.

So i just drag the files into MT.exe .?? or normal DCS.exe
