Jester start assist question

Having recently watched Reflected's latest addition to his campaigns with the full start up it got me thinking. Is it possible to do the assisted start with Jester without the yellow box icons over the switches in question? I'm one of those weirdos who likes full cold and darks and it would be nice while in vr if I could get Jester to interact with me for immersion. The flashing boxes kind of bugger it up though. I understand this is a training tool but is there a setting we can remove them? Or, alternatively,  if it isn't too much work, could you add it as an extra start up option?

You could use VoiceAttack and VAICOM to interact with him. Just a thought.

Thanks @MAXsennathat's a great thought. My main thing though is removing the 'hint boxes' over the switches. I like doing the full coldstart but don't need the boxes showing where the switches are. That is what i would like to know if there is a way to remove.

Are you talking about one of @Reflected 's specific campaigns? Might be better to post the question there!

I thought as much. Seems I have no clue what those boxes are. Are they the pop-up hints when you hover the mouse over the controls? Can't they be disabled in the general settings? If not, a wish to be able to do so, should be made in the general wishlist section i guess, as I'm sure they're not Tomcat specific!

These are added in a mission - usually training aids.

The "pop-up hints when you hover the mouse over the controls" are just description texts and you can control it in general settings indeed.

Ahhhhh! The training missions. @Indianajon No, you can't remove them. They are an integral part of the training missions. Use a cold start mission instead.

Hi all, I was talking about asking Jester to do the 'assisted start' so he talks through the checklist as you go. Just for the immersion I like to do full cold and dark and its nice him calling out the actions but I don't want the above boxes to be present.

I think the boxes come in the training mission, when you request assisted start up. Go into Missions, and not Training Missions, and choose a cold and dark mission, and then ask for assisted start up. I assume you won't get the boxes then, but I could of course be wrong. Im not at my computer and can't check myself.

No, Max. The assisted startup always includes the hint boxes.
