I'm still super new to VR, so haven't learned the tricks of the trade.  If I want to do a session on my Monitor instead, how do I get that to run?

I have a reverb g2, thru WMR.  So, it seems whenever I start DCS, it immediately opens WMR and takes me VR.  Do I need to just do that, go to settings and uncheck "use VR"(?). Then close and start again?

Thanks.

you can create separate shortcuts to run in different modes, but the easiest way is to use DCS updater

You can run or create shortcut like speed-of-heat suggested...

Like DCS______/bin-mt/DCS.exe" --force_disable_VR

this. My monitor and VR graphic settings are way different. This launcher can remember each settings.

If you're going to do much 2D, you might want to consider getting an eye tracker. There are several brands like TrackIR and DelanClip. For reading manuals and startup sequences in VR, you can get OpenKneeBoard. I've even seen people getting it to show YT videos. I'm not sure how well that works though. But I will be trying that myself soon.

I learned FA-18 startup, taxiing, takeoff and landing in 2D using a DelanClip Gamer Pro which is about $100 less than TrackIR.
