I am aware that this is the bazillionst post of this kind, but I would much prefer not having to delete and re-install DCS if possible.

The computer has been dormant for about a year and therefore DCS has not been updated either, accordingly the update is quite big. Trying to update I get the message that some 130GB are required, but only something in the 70s is available. No matter how much more space I add to the partition that DCS runs on (and it can only be that one the updater is referring to, as the others have considerably less free space), these numbers remain exactly the same.

Can somebody tell me, why the updater would not recognize the change in available size?

hello. what size is your drive? how much free space? how much room is the current install using?

my DCS is using 528 GB.

What about space on system partition? I don't know if DCS uses that one for temporary files extraction during update process, but wouldn't be surprises if it did. On the other hand 130 GB requirement sounds excessive though, if for temp files only.

Remove the maps that are in the update. Update, then re-install the maps, the download is the same, just divided.

No idea why the installer isn't seeing the change in free space.

I have deactivated all terrains and acft other than the F-16 already. After uninstalling the stable version there's nothing else but beta version on the partition in question. That install takes 20.2GB with 295GB of free space. Total size of the partition is 315GB.

Yet I still receive the notification of "Not enough disk space in the download folder. Need 134737Mbytes when only 72715 are available". My C drive has 29.7GB free space. So that number of 72715 doesn't match ANY of the partitions.
