Amarok_73 Posted May 23, 2024 Posted May 23, 2024 Has anyone else observed, that when flying supersonic, at some point, the fuel counter starts to increase it's numbers? Vakarian Posted May 23, 2024 Posted May 23, 2024 Not purely while supersonic flight, but I've noticed that during/after heavy maneuvering it rapidly decreases count and then after stabilizing it starts to slowly increase. I'd really like to think it's a part of the "parts simulation" where the fuel gauge gets thrown off when you do that pilot "stuff" and then aircraft stabilizes it can get more precise reading. Not the greatest analogy but I remember when I drove old car, if it was parked at the slope it showed it had less fuel than it was in the tank. After when I started to drive and got to even terrain it showed correct state

Yes, it was short after departure. 31 minutes ago, Vakarian said: I'd really like to think it's a part of the "parts simulation" where the fuel gauge gets thrown off when you do that pilot "stuff" and then aircraft stabilizes it can get more precise reading. I thought it may be it, but that would mean Heatblur REALLY did his lessons well... Surprisingly and unbelievably well... From my experience there is a threshold in the internal fuel tank at which point it will initiate the transfer from the external to the internal tank until it's almost full again and then stops. At this point the fuel gets drained again until the threshold is passed and it starts transfering again.
