finkelt Posted May 25, 2024 Posted May 25, 2024 (edited) Hi all, For some reason, when I try to communicate with ATC or wingmen in Instant Action they no longer respond.....they always used to (ATC would give me an Azimuth or tell me I'm cleared to land....Wingmen would acknowledge orders....now for some reason this doesn't happen anymore. Any ideas what could be causing this? I'm flying the F16, BTW. thank you in advance for any insight you can provide. Edited May 25, 2024 by finkelt
Solution Flappie Posted May 25, 2024 Solution Posted May 25, 2024 Chances are you used to rely on the Gameplay >Easy Communication option. When this option is disabled, you have to: Dial the ATC frequency. Select the proper radio (F-16C has a radio for UHF and another for VHF) : "RAlt + \ " or "RCtrl + \ ". The name of the radio is displayed on top of the comms menu. 1 ---
finkelt Posted May 26, 2024 Author Posted May 26, 2024 Thanks. that was it. But how do I find out which frequency to dial to for the various ATCs?
Art-J Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 The easiest way is clicking on chosen airbase in F10 map view which opens its properties window with ATC frequencies amongst other things. Apart from that, there are various handy custom kneeboards, spreadsheets, lists and whatnot available from community in user files section. On the other hand, planes with non-adjustable radio presets have to have their channels set by player in mission editor before flight, but I don't own F-16 and I'm not familiar with how its radio works. 1 i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
finkelt Posted May 26, 2024 Author Posted May 26, 2024 Thank you. Actually discovered that on my own today. Appreciate the help.
