winghunter Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 (edited) Phellow Phantoms Since I always had issues with the F10 map in VR, I've created a replacement for the F10 map. It runs through Heatblur's ingame browser, any other browser or OpenKneeboard * Works in 2D and VR, saves VRAM * Show mission route points, distances, headings in MH° and TH° * Shows airport and beacon info on hover * Show friendlies / neutrals / enemies ( if mission allows it ) * Show / hide player position * Follow player / show track * Draw on map and take notes * Import notes/drawings from DCS Web Viewer * Import .kml files * Many different map styles including TPC, ONC, VFR & IFR HI/LOW https://dcs-web-editor.github.io/dcs-web-viewer-deploy/live/ Download is on discord Edited April 3 by winghunter 6 5 DCS Web Editor - New 3D Mission Editor for DCS that runs in your browser DCS Web Viewer free browser based mission planner 4090 RTX, 13700KF, water cooled, Quest 3

QuiGon Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 (edited) @winghunter Does it show more information than the actual F10 map? I'm especially thinking about showing ownship position in missions that have this disabled for the F10 map. If so, does your mod pass the IC? diego999 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Amazing tool. I was having terrible stutters with the ingame map until someone recommended this. Thank you. 1

winghunter Posted March 13 Author Posted March 13 There is a performance fix for the moving map. Some users experienced stutters while others did not. This occured mostly on wifi connections. This fix should completely remove those stutters that only occured when opening the moving map. Extract the dcs-web-viewer-api-4.lua to Saved Games/DCS../Scripts/Hooks Delete the old dcs-web-viewer-api-3.lua ! Restart DCS ( Make sure you're using 127.0.0.1 as IP instead of localhost. Localhost can trigger a DNS lookup that DCS lua socket won't like.) dcs-web-viewer-api-4.zip 2 DCS Web Editor - New 3D Mission Editor for DCS that runs in your browser DCS Web Viewer free browser based mission planner 4090 RTX, 13700KF, water cooled, Quest 3

1BRAVO9 Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Once installed how do you open it, I've seen F-4 browser mentioned but I'm not sure what that is. I may be missing something.
winghunter Posted April 3 Author Posted April 3 (edited) Do you have the F-4 ? Then open its ingame browser Otherwise just use Chrome browser outside DCS https://dcs-web-editor.github.io/dcs-web-viewer-deploy/live/ Edited April 3 by winghunter DCS Web Editor - New 3D Mission Editor for DCS that runs in your browser DCS Web Viewer free browser based mission planner 4090 RTX, 13700KF, water cooled, Quest 3

I tried renaming dcs-web-viewer-api-4-test60.lua to dcs-web-viewer-api-4.lua - still no success. Could it matter that the directory name "Saved Games" is named "Gespeicherte Spiele" in my german Windows 11 installation? However, everything else DCS reads from "Gespeicherte Spiele" works fine. virgo47 Posted Tuesday at 07:49 AM Posted Tuesday at 07:49 AM I've just tested this, it looks really cool. One thing I noticed is the label for my plane turning with the map. I guess the labels should be put on the rotated map in normal reading orientation. Another thing would be to have R (rotate) and F (follow) work independently. As of now, with Follow, I can't disable map rotation to my heading. I was just messing around with it for a while, but as an independent NS430 alternative which can be put on another screen, it's very, very nice! 1 L-39, F-4E, F-5E, F-14, F/A-18C, MiG-15, F-86F, AJS-37, C-101, FC2024 Yak-52, P-47, Spitfire, CE2 UH-1H, Mi-8, Ka-50 III, SA342 NTTR, PG, SY, Chnl, Norm2, Kola, DE Supercarrier, NS430, WWII, CA VKB STECS+Gladiator/Kosmosima+TPR DCS Unscripted YouTube "Favourite" bugs: 1) gates not growing regress (FIXED 2025-03 ), 2) L-39 target size cockpit animation regress (FIXED 2025-02), 3) Yak-52 toggles not toggling, 4) all Caucasus ATC bugs
