Hi all.

Im watching videos and the manual but I cant get fly properly. Trimming and autopilot are null. Im starting with autostart and everything looks right but its impossible to keep a line. I cant keep it stabilized.

When I am in 0 AOA I try to use the autopilot but it doest work. Neither Alt hold.

PS: Flaps are up, no payload or only fuel tanks on payload...

Coarse trimming issues is a subject discussed in the other thread. As for the AFCS altitude hold switch to stay in position, it does require:

a) Having the plane trimmed for level flight as closely as possible before moving the switch (I know, difficult to do currently, but some players seem to be doing it);

b) Increasing breakout deadzone in special options 'cause your joystick might be a bit too sloppy near the center. Default margins are tiny, I'd recommend bumping them up and see what happens then.

thank u man. Im using autopilot disengage and engage controls but not in the toggle button. I tried to use the trimming but it doesnt work. Its very wierd. I dont understand this issue and its not eought explanation on the manual.

Trim as well as you can, and use tiny throttle corrections to top things off.
In the screenshot below, I am completely hands-off and I don't have altitude hold engaged:

P.S. *edit* During non-ACFS cruise, I keep my right forearm on my right leg with 2 or 3 fingertips on my stick, so I can apply gentle pressure where and when needed.
This is not difficult in straight-and-level flight. I am still working on my coordinated turns 🙂

Dumb idea but do you have any other input devices that could be effecting your flight? I once had a xbox controller that was feeding inputs in due to stick drift over riding what my joystick was doing, very annoying.

I try to do that but the result is ... the nose go up and up when I let go of my hand. I can connect both autopilot modes but not let the stick free. Triming is not working for me in manual pilot or autopilot. The neddle is down for pitch but it doesnt work. are there any video abou that? There is not any imput for pitch o trim.

You're sure your bindings are correct, and that you have Force Feedback disabled?

Don't feel alone bro, I have the same issue, it is either climbing or diving, I can never get the VSi to stay still,if I look down in the cockpit looking for air speed or something when i look back up I am in a 60 degree bank either left or right. I use a warthog setup and with other modules all is ok. The lag between aircraft pitch and VSI movement makes the gauge worthless for me, from what I'm seeing this was a truly fly by the seat of your pants aircraft and that is not possible in a simulator.

Honestly, in my experience it doesn't even have to be very close. I've had it successfully arrest a slight climb/descend just fine after putting myself into "attitude hold" to change flight levels. The "stick not being perfectly centered" thing tho is a very likely candidate.

Before the last bit of trimming, put the center of the HUD glass on the horizon line and use your elevator control and throttles (if necessary) to get altitude stable. As for AFCS, take into mind that the laggy VSI means even after Altitude Hold is engaged, the VSI will slowly bounce up and down several times before it finally settles down.

The solution

Have a look in the special options there is a slider that alows you to modify how sensitive the pitch and roll aspects are in terms of disengaging the AFCS...

Set deadzone 1-5 to your stick axis and trim as possible as you can, switch on AFCS and ALT hold

ALT hold tend to break too easy though  😞

ok. Thank u to all. Its working right with all steps and tips. They should have more explanations about that in the manual. I set the dead zone to 10 to make tests and its working. I will try with 4-5.
