Kiowa, Hellfire does not launch?

Hi all,

I dont know what i'm doing wrong, any help would be great!

the hellfire does not launch in the kiowa. (rockets do launch) 

i have set master arm and laser arm to armed. set copilot mfd to mms and selected a target.

on the pilot's mfd set launch to manual, mfd says armed. fired the laser but when I press the trigger nothing happens?

what am I doing wrong?

(also how do I zoom in and out on the target screen (mfd) what are the names of the bindings in the settings)

Make sure you are in manual mode

did you complete the training mission and read the manual? The HF are a bit complex with a lot of options so better to learn them properly form the start since there is no one easy answer to your question.

Make sure you're in constraints (solid box), what usually gets me is the second missile defaults to B laser code.

I couldn’t get my hellfires to launch for a long time (box was dotted) and was puzzled until I realised the laser button (top left) in the MMS display was still in the default RNG mode. I needed to click it to A1688 or whatever you have set the laser code to. Careful the last missile might be in ALT code and you need to set it right too. Could this be it?

Done all these mentioned. Still have the dotted square. Constraint says normal. Launch says normal. HF is ready. Am I at 800 ft lased distance too near to the target?

No any Issue with Hellfires. Do some track with your problem, also check manual and video tutorials on YT (CasmoTV for example).

Shot in the dark here... You fire your rockets fine but Hellfires won't... Do you have different bindings for your fire weapon button in Pilot seat/co-pilot seat? I'd check your bindings in both seats to make sure you don't... Because trying to fire hellfires from the left seat might be a conflict if your trigger is set to something else in that seat.

You are holding the fire button long enough? It takes a second or so to fire.

I don't remember by heart what the switches are called exactly, but they have NARROW/WIDE in the name. Wide is up (4-way), narrow is down (same 4-way).
Just do the training mission. It is all explained there.

Look for "MMS FOV Narrow Toggle Down" and "MMS FOV Wide Toggle Up". They are only under the Copilot controls.
