Planned server maintenance Login Authorization Expired?

I was just (re)playing first mission of Speed & Angels campaign. After going through the whole start up process and taxiing to the hold short, I suddenly got taken to the debrief screen. A few seconds later I was kicked to desktop with a message box showing "login authorization expired" or it might have been "login session expired". This is really frustrating when having only limited time to fly; I probably wasted 15 mins.

At the time I was connected to the internet, so not sure why this has happened. As a suggestion, if a users login is about to expire, a better process would be for a login window to appear with the game paused. At least offer me an opportunity to login before erasing my progress.

I think it's because of the scheduled server maintenance. I got "ejected out" too while playing a campaign.

I just had the same thing happen while playing online on contention, quite frustrating I’d guess it’s an authentication server issue again.

Could not log in too...

Not the first time that it happens. Just be patient and wait until admin check the login.

You're not alone, same happened to me, in the middle of an exciting mission and suddenly I was looking at the debriefing screen

it's not for the server admins to do - it's ED. Their website is down. Try visiting https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/

This has happened numerous times before, whether planned maintenance, (or unplanned authentication server goes down). 

I can understand it affecting players trying to join servers when their account can't connect at login, but I really wish ED would make some changes to their authentication so that it doesn't affect servers and players who were already authenticated and are already online and playing.

If the temporary offline authentication can go for 3 days, couldn't the online authentication be altered so that the timeout for reauthentication to at least 12 hrs from last authentication for cases where players are already joined to a server and half way through playing, or something so this sort of unexpected crash/kick doesn't occur?
