sagil Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Hi all, Wanted to share my design of the 3D printing F-4E Phantom throttle assembly. Work great and feel great with the sim, including Idle levers, and engine panels with few extra buttons for the sim (jester index for example). Here are some pictures and link to get it. https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/hobby-diy/other/f-4e-pilot-throttle-for-diy-cockpit-simulator 12 5
Grundar Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Very, very nice. I'm going to end up with a house full of 3d printed throttles and sticks at this rate. 1
average_pilot Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 So, are those switches with levers any good? When buying online there is always that one guy that says that the switch stopped working after a few uses.

Have a lot of experience with other of my products 1
Lt_Jaeger Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 (edited) Hello, great work, one or two question though. Would it be possible to add the Black / white hot switch (No 1) as well, or is it possible to request a file conversion to fusion360 with the purchase to do it myself ? I'm not sure, but in the real thing, the side panes seem slightly slanted. Did you incorporate that as well in the model? The Throttle would be a great centerpiece and starting point for the left console. Having the throttle, I could figure out how to mount it and start from there to add the rest. And one last one for now. Are there any kinds of afterburner gates / stops or something like that? Edited June 20, 2024 by Lt_Jaeger
sagil Posted June 20, 2024 Author Posted June 20, 2024 Hi, yes I can add the missing toggle. I think that the all panel with the throttle are slanted. There are idle stopper (pulling back only with the idles levers) and AB detent 1
Iron Sights Posted June 29, 2024 Posted June 29, 2024 Really nice work. Does it have mounting holes? I have the Monstertech setup for Warthog throttle. Just wondering if there a way to mount it.
Lt_Jaeger Posted July 3, 2024 Posted July 3, 2024 So far I'm very happy with the design. Just made some slight changes. Printer will need to keep going though. One need a pretty big plate for the main handles 1
Lt_Jaeger Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 Done printing, waiting for some hardware now. I really dig this design, very well-made. Looking forward to putting it all together 1
Lt_Jaeger Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 It's coming together well around the throttle centerpiece. Seems I need to reprint the cover plates now. 3
