Thewarblade Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 (edited) Hi Pilots, I have the following problem. Since patch DCS 2.9.5.55300 the ICS Mode Switch VOX/OFF/PTT does not respond to any bindings neither keyboard nor other peripherals. Any body else have the same issue? UncleStains Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 I have noticed this issue. It does work when I click it with the mouse.
Antix70 Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 I have first 3 radio volume knobs mapped to my virpil control panel knobs with depress, and the Push/Pull will select PULL (Mute) but a second press does not UNmute, same for all the knobs.
Antix70 Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 I am finding that most of the items on the COMM panel are ignoring keyboard and joystick keybinds. I tested today: ICS Vox, ICS PTT, all 5 radio mutes, all 5 radio unmutes. ICS switch ignoring all mappings Radio mute/unmute ignoring all keyboard bindings, but mute responds to joystick bindings, unmute ignores joystick bindings. Hope this makes sense and is helpful
Antix70 Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 It's actually a lot of the COMM panel, I posted about it in the Controller Bugs section.
Thewarblade Posted June 25, 2024 Author Posted June 25, 2024 i notice the same issues. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] https://www.facebook.com/vJaBoG32/ http://virtual-jabog32.de/
Antix70 Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 (edited) BUMP! These issues are still present. I'm using a Virpil control panel, which has rotaries with depress. You can press to mute, but not press to unmute. I have the depress bound to the mute/unmute toggle, but it only works to mute. ICS switch keybinds are still ignored, I have them bound to keyboard buttons, but both PTT and VOX bindings are ignored. The knobs on the Virpil control panel are encoders, and I have them mapped to CW and CCW bindings for radio volume, and it seems that DCS ignores input intermittently from the encoder, so you end up turning the encoder more than the knob turns in the cockpit. Not sure if that's related. Edited August 25, 2024 by Antix70

Rogue Trooper Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 Is this just an animation bug or is it not actually switching in the code? The total controls MPDs have an animation bug that shows no movement on the virtual MPDs when pressing the Left, Top, Right or Bottom buttons, they are actually switching/changing in the code but there is simply no animation. It is the same for the total controls' rotary selector for day, night & Mono settings. My ICS PTT/VOX/HOT MIC real switch does not move the virtual ICS PTT/VOX/HOT MIC switch and I am unsure if the real switch is switching in the code. HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled. DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!. Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.

Yes, this is a known bug for the total controls mpd’s discovered some time ago. I think I agree, what do the rest of you say in this thread regarding the the ICS/VOX/HOT MIC debate? Is it just an animation of switches or is is not working in multiplayer? Antix70 Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 For the COMM panel, this is NOT just an animation issue. Turning the Encoders on my virpil control panel controls the volume just fine, and the animation corresponds correctly both left and right. If I PUSH the encoder, which I have mapped to Mute Toggle, it will mute, and the knob animation lifts, but pushing the encoder again has no effect, and the knob doesn't drop, and the radio remains muted. And yes, the MPD animations are still broken, the screen will alter but the knob does not turn. This is NOT restricted to the Total Controls MPD's, it's the same problem on any peripheral you map it to. 2
