joey45 Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 who cares...... Love the tach though. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. CAT_101st Posted May 5, 2009 Author Posted May 5, 2009 When I opend it up the first time. All that was wrong with it was the of/off button was missing off the PCB board. I just moved one from the contrast button to the on/off position. It worked albeit for less than a second but it worked nun the less. I still need to rewire it and put a in line fuse (10A) to prevent this agin. HitchHikingFlatlander Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Gotta love electronics and fire lol. I did something to my Buttkicker, replaced the fuse and the new fuse blew as soon as I flipped the switch, so now I have to figure out what went wrong there. I feel as naked without BK as I do without a HOTAS or TrackIR the feedback/feeling it gives you really makes the experience! Good luck on getting that screen to work I'm really looking forward to what you can do with it. Gotta have someone to copy off lol! http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
CAT_101st Posted May 7, 2009 Author Posted May 7, 2009 Update Ok the have retested the TFT screan. The powere is going to it but it is not turning on. windows does see that their is a screan and a touch screan. Just no pitcher on it. So looks like it is a no go on the screan to work. I am a bit bumed out by this. Was hopping at least the LCD would work. Now I just need to find another broken one to see if I can put 1+1 together and have 1 working LCD. CAT_101st Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Well the TFT back light is now working but I still have no screan. Not sure about if it is the LCD or the main board that is F**ed. But it is progress. Along with that I have had a set back as well with all the moving the parts around I broke off the wires going to the plug on the main board. So I nee to find a replacment plug and wires. And for the touch screan I thing the firmwair was writen to work only with SeForm hardwair. I was searching Ebay and founs the exact board and a driver CD to go with it for $25. It will attach to the 4 wire tape on the touch screan that I have. Any one have $25 I can barow? Home built PC Win 10 Pro 64bit, MB ASUS Z170 WS, 6700K, EVGA 1080Ti Hybrid, 32GB DDR4 3200, Thermaltake 120x360 RAD, Custom built A-10C sim pit, TM WARTHOG HOTAS, Cougar MFD's, 3D printed UFC and Saitek rudders. talisman Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Cat - i was watching your Youtube video today and i noticed that during startup - your game adds a number of steps by itself during the procedure. How did you achieve this? Some kind of macro? Is it a function of the game i havent seen yet? I would love to know as that would meke things for me a lot simpler. Thank you. CAT_101st Posted May 14, 2009 Author Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) THe IO card I have is a keyboard emulator. I wire all my switch thrue it and it sends a key combaniton of my choosing to the PC. I creat the macros on a TXT file for a Hagstroms KE-72 It has 72 inputs that can be wired into it. And I have all 72 used and need more. It is a very easy tool to use for building a pit. and easy to program. Here is a review I did of the KE-72 http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=563869&postcount=218 Edited May 14, 2009 by CAT_101st Home built PC Win 10 Pro 64bit, MB ASUS Z170 WS, 6700K, EVGA 1080Ti Hybrid, 32GB DDR4 3200, Thermaltake 120x360 RAD, Custom built A-10C sim pit, TM WARTHOG HOTAS, Cougar MFD's, 3D printed UFC and Saitek rudders.
