APKWS not working properly on Kola Map

I have been trying to use the APKWS in a single player Mission I created on the Kola map.  I set up the rockets as per the training mission provided by PC. The rockets just fly off the KW and fly downrange until they run out of inertia.  My method of deployment works properly in other maps.  Is anybody else experiencing this?

System:Motherboard Asus ROG Strix Z390-E,Asus ROG GeForce RTX 2080Ti OC, GPU, 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram, Intel i9 9900K @ 5 GHz , cooled by NZXT Kraken X52, Acer XB270HU G-Sinc monitor, Windows 10 Pro, Warthog joystick and throttle with wasy extension, VBK Gunfighter Pro and MCG Pro,MFG Rudder, running on a dedicated 1TB Samsung 970 Pro M2 Nvme , Super Wheel Stand Pro, with a HP Reverb G2

It would be very strange that it depends on the map, but I can check.

Thanks YoYo

I checked, no any issue, every APKWS rocket hit the target from the distance (one miss but it was my foul).

Sounds to me that you were in a hover, too close (less than 2km?) to the target and the APKWS didn't catch the laser or didn't have time to maneuver ...

I'll try targeting from further away and see if that is the solution.

I found I was too high for the shorter ranges.  had to find the right height for the range and terrain

It also helps to elevate the nose quite a bit and wait until the missile is partway to the target before lasing, otherwise it tends to fly straight at the target and waste all its energy on a direct path.

Or just dip the nose down?

Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
