Viper33 Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 (edited) The new Abrams models seem to have had the same fate as the B-1, B-52 and S-3 models in that we only got the LOD1 that is useable within DCS. Compared to the previews over the last couple months and also compared to much odler models such as the T-72B3 the new Abrams models are pretty bad. Comparison: From 2024 and beyond. razo+r Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 At this point I expect it to be a paid assets pack to unlock the high quality LODs... But as always we'll have to wait for official news... 2

ED should make this clear before they "tease" all these new models in every "beyond" video and preview. You'd think spending hundreds on ED modules over the years would mean we get free model updates for the old LOMAC era models. Guess not. Edited July 12, 2024 by Viper33 4
Tholozor Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 (edited) The main problem in the first post is that you're comparing the new M1A2 SEPv3 model to the replaced/updated M1A2 model. The SEPv3 has the CROWS turret for the commander's .50 and the shield for the loader's M240. The regular M1A2 model doesn't have those and looks more like the one in the first comparison screenshot. I am aware but if you actually spent 2 minutes looking at them yourself you would know that those are esesntially the same. The SEP doesnt even have the correct back shape and extra angled UFP for that matter. 1
