I just started the Gamblers Campaign and unfortunately I don't have DLink
GPS Time is on
Any suggestions?

Hi, I had some kind of datalink problems too in mission 2.

For me it seems that the other members of my flight start showing blue (as supposed) on dl right after takeoff, but when breaking right to join the bombers, they all of a sudden disappear from dl and after a moment when they return, are showing green (no more blue=same flight).

This breaks a little the SA 😞

One note: the plane is recovered under the shelter so the gps signal is not reaching the antenna. I moved out after the stored-alignment and and after a minute checked GPS time on and switched mids on. This procedure works fine in all the cases in which the plane is not reachable fro gps signal.

Edit: the dl page on ded look exactly like yours.

quick update, maybe i solved:

after the update the hsd page showed L16 instead of TNDL. Clicking on the osb i could only turn off or select L16 for transmission.

A friend of mine in a multiplayer mission said his hsd showed TNDL instead and his datalink was working properly so i did a DCS repair and now my hsd is showing the right label TNDL.

Tomorrow I will try the mission again.

By the way the hsd showed L16 but the ded page showed TNDL, i think somethig went wrong with my update.

Same issue - I started the mission but decided to just quit about the time I was supposed to be meeting the bombers. Without the DL I had no idea if I was even within 10 miles of the rest of the flight who disappeared into the night the moment they went off burner. It just felt like something had gone wrong somewhere with a trigger or something and I didn't want to go on with the mission as I figured there would be more problems if I was totally detached from the flight.

Thanks for the tips, I will try that now too.

ok another update:

I have done the repair and now my HSD has the correct label TNDL, but the datalink in the mission still seems to be broken.

After takeoff all the members of the flight are green and not blue, sometimes they disappear just to reappear again seconds later and after the rendez vous with the bones only my element leader remains on datalink.... but still green.

The only way to get through the problem is to set the element leader in "primary datalink track", but even in this way sometimes he disappear and you have select it again once he comes back.

By the way i tried cheating activating the labels and i could tally in visual all the 3 other members of the flight but only one was picked up on the datalink.

I did not tried it but my suggestion:

Go to the Mission Planer right before you click "Fly"
There you can see the your flight and also can see the Datalink "Numbers" (I don't know what they are called).
Write them down.

Start up the jet and see if they are correct.
If yes.
Cycle the GPS time On/Off and then it should work.

I checked and this mission is set exactly in the same way as all the others, in ME all looks fine for the player. I have no idea how to fix this but I remember seeing a video from Bogey Dope where he explains how to set it up properly (I think the Datalink has to be switched on only after the GPS time is on, and GPS time will only work if you taxi a little forward out of the shelter). I might be wrong though.

Maybe the problem is not with our plane (4), but with the other planes (1,2 and 3) turning their mids knob on before leaving the hangar.

Is there a way to delay 1, 2 and 3 turning their datalink on until they  leave the hangar and, therefore they have valid GPS signal? Or maybe just briefly cycle 1, 2 and 3 MIDS knob OFF and ON again when they get  airborne.

Just to try a suggestion if this solves the issue, cause this campaign feels very good..

EDIT. It's definitely something on 1, 2 and 3 datalinks. In my case after an hour or so suddenly 1 and 2 datalink started working and became blue with numbers.

EDIT2. Mission 7, datalink for weasel 51 doesn't work. Weasel 52 datalink (player) works, because I can see Weasel 51 in green as a friendly but not as a donor, and sometimes it turns white. Mission 7 and another previous I don't remember TACAN 115X gives no signal.

Enjoining this campaign A LOT.

I confirm all flights now have correct D/L settings set up in the ME. Please check after the last DCS update.
