I just (sort of) finished the campaign and thought I would provide some feedback. Pros: Was a great campaign for me to learn the Mi24 - really liked the skill level required for the missions. Good storyline The voiceovers were good but I wish there were more of them Cons: Triggers - I had to skip roughly half the missions due to whatever trigger(s) being required not happening and there not being any in-mission feedback to know if I had missed something or was doing things right. Limited mission briefings - this probably contributed to the above. The briefings were pretty short and simple. Left a sort of feeling of going into the mission not actually knowing the plan but just assuming the voiceovers would tell me. MIssion 12 - I really was excited to wrap this campaign up with this mission but It made me just give up: The first time I did it, the voiceovers stopped after passing the first waypoint and heading to the second. Not sure what I missed but the entire mission broke after that. Despite this, I continued on hoping something I would do would kick it loose. I went into the town and killed the AAA units. Then I accidentally killed the friendly ground units not realizing they were friendly. (would have been great to have more detailed maps/info in the kneeboards/missions briefings) The second time I tried it, while starting the helicopter up my wingman took off and crashed into the Mi8 during his hover check. The third time I tried it, while starting the helicopter up my wingman took off and crashed into the Mi8 during his hover check. I gave up at this point.

Reverb G2 here and a 4090. Can't stand the new dots. I was able to easily see a long convoy of approaching ground units that were in the middle of a forest (on a road) from more than 5 miles in an Apache at 50 feet. Looked like a long black line where there should have been a forest. I read earlier someone else with a G2 thought it looked great so I think this is something we need a slider for at the very least but my above experience was on an MP server so it was very much an exploit being able to see that.

Saw the same thing on TTI - I almost thought it was the designation laser from a drone somehow appearing in broad daylight

Wonder when this will get fixed...

Happened again with the right contrast key - it was multiplayer so I couldnt save a track. Pressing right and left mouse didnt help though.

solved 2.8 - Cant move view around with mouse anymore

Since 2.8 none of my external views (F2 etc) will move around with the mouse. -
I have started having an issue in the A-10 with MFCD soft keys being stuck. Most of the time it has been the right MFCD contrast down key but in a campaign mission (Iron Flag) it was left OSB 19 that was stuck (and it cause the on-screen stuck key message to display). I definitely do not have any keybinds assigned to any MFCD keys so what could be causing this and what can I do about it? The only thing I have been able to do is completely restart the mission.

I like that some CMs are auto-populated now but what is auto-populated seems totally random. How do we enter CMs ourselves now as many friendly groups arent appearing?

SOLVED It was breaking on landing, not takeoff. My bad habit was that I always dropped the gear in the break, and didnt wait until below 250 kts (I thought the gear would wait for a safe speed to lower automatically). I suspect ED changed the damage model and this bad habit of mine finally got me in the butt. I was focusing on overspeeding on the takeoff, I never thought about my landing. Thanks to everyone who helped out

Here is a track of it breaking: I take off normally, drop some bombs quick to simulate a mission and then land. After rearm/refuel, the gear is broken after takeoff. This is how it always happens. For this track, I kept it exactly how I normally fly. I have tried many different things like rotating more forcefully, pulling the power back after wheels up, lighter aircraft, more than 12 units of trim and none of that matters. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0jecbuegy9nnyzf/broke.trk?dl=0

Sadly, this didn't help. I am going to try and make a recording of it today. Another tidbit, this same thing is happening to two other people I regularly fly with - and it may also be only after landing and rearming/refueling. What changed is my question. If I knew what new damage model ED implemented a couple of updates ago I could at least know what to look for. I'm totally open to the concept that I have been flying this plane wrong for a couple years - but I know I haven't changed how I take off in years.

I dont normally do that - I have been flying the hornet literally since day one so I know it's not supposed to need that. The reason I am doing that is to get the gear up before they break. To be honest I have been focused on my speed but from what you're saying my speed is fine. Some folks I fly with insist they are easily rotating at 140 so thats where I was with that. Recently, let's say the last week or two, almost every time I take off, the gear break. As soon as they are seemingly locked up, I get the gear warning sound that wont go away. I also cannot employ any weapons (the plane behaves as if the gear is down).

What am I doing wrong? Ever since the last updated, almost every time I take off I damage the landing gear and I have to turn around and land. In talking with people I fly with, it seems that for some reason my plane is behaving as if it's way heavier than it really is. While they can easly rotate at about 140 knots, I am having to pull all the way back on the stick at 170 and even then I am stalling. According to the loading screen, I'm under weight. Flaps at half, no brakes. Here's a track showing it. Look at my post further down of the gear breaking on second takeoff of mission. What in the world am I doing wrong?

Go here: I:\DCS World OpenBeta\Bazar\shaders\HMDMask.fx Change: float4 vsOctagonMask(in float2 pos:POSITION0): SV_POSITION0 { return float4(pos, 1, 1); } To: float4 vsOctagonMask(in float2 pos:POSITION0): SV_POSITION0 { return float4(pos, .9, .9); } Seems to pass integrity check and I didnt see any performance hit Thanks to @Japo32 for finding the trick.

The halo doesnt appear in screenshots/2D - only the headset. However, maybe it does...I notice the 2D view that appears now has that ring around it and I think the headset is grabbing the edge of whatever that is. When I roll the plane the halo fades in/out with where the sky position is in the 2D view ring (whatever you want to call that). I hope that makes sense... Here is a video I took through the headset that shows it at the bottom though: https://www.dropbox.com/s/u8wli7s920bm716/IMG_1506.mp4?dl=0

Clouds are gorgeous! But - Using my Reverb G2 I have a white halo around my view in VR. It's very bright/distracting. Don't see it at night but it's present during day mission. After a bit of flying around it seems it appears any time the aircraft is in direct sunlight
