Curious if this FOB will be included...was there early on TAD at the very beginning for a small length of time and would like to visit again somehow... . . .   . . .. .. .

I highly doubt ANY FOB would be modeled (I was at Blessing in 2008-09), and while I haven't played DCS in a long time, the myriad FOBs and COPs probably won't be modeled. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't. Probably the "closest" will be putting a FARP or a base there for old time's sake.

I would love these FOB's to be included. But I think it would be nicer if there was an option to somehow create your own runway-ish objects like we have for the FARP's already.

This would make it possible to use it for mission building for a broader time frame in regards to the efforts in Afghanistan. You could build a runway that would look like the basic strip it was in the beginning and start modelling your own FOB depending on where you would like to be situated in the theatre timewise.

I noticed that Karshi-Kanabad in Uzbekistan will also not be developed. I even think that the map doesn't reach just far enough. I don't really mind about that but it would be nice if I could just create a new airbase somewhere over the border in Uzbekistan so I could use it for mission building..

Right now in DCS, several of the FOBS in the Khandahar area have a blob of housing popped right over top their position. But you can see on the satellite imagery underneath there are HESCO barriers. I hope they at least fix this or leave these areas open for the playerbase to populate properly.

 

OR go the Syria route and populate the map with the FOBs as part of the map. When you have a map that has had real world conflict this seems to make the most sense to me. People want to conduct missions out of real historical bases.

FOB Frontenac is an example of this. I was going to build it myself but even if you remove the houses it still has the crappy texture underneath.

100%. I was going to build some Canadian bases in the area so I could think of building some Huey/Chinook missions but I think I'll wait for some map updates. Im hoping ED will go the Syria route and show these bases in better detail.

I wish they would use ground textures with better than 20m resolution over the world...
